Garbage ever since they changed the recipe. Won't ever buy them again until they change it back. They used to be so good. They now taste completely different and bake differently as well. Please change them back. Would give zero stars if I could and clearly everyone else feels the same way based on the 2 star review.

We had been using tollhouse for years but recently they have just tasted to chemical.  We tried the Pillsbury new and improved cookie dough and were very impressed with the taste.  They don't taste fake, they taste real and delicious.  Very surprised by all the negative comments.  We recently hosted a college sports team and they all preferred the Pillsbury over the Tollhouse.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with LadyMidnight.  I too have been around awhile and have tried many of the premade cookie doughs.  Pillsbury Chocolate Chip was absolutely the best...until now!!  I agree with LadyMidnight,  when I eat a cookie, I don't want it to be "healthy"!  Reminds me of going to family get togethers where there was a delicious spread of food, and somebody brings "baked" potato chips or "light" dip!  YUCK!!  I'm all about keeping it healthy but family get togethers isn't one of them, nor when I eat a cookie!! Bring back the original Pillsbury Chocolate Chip cookie dough in the dark blue wrapping!  When I'm at the store and I see that baby blue wrapping on the new Pillsbury cookie dough, I walk right on past...cause I know what lurks inside!!  I'm sad I've lost a quick and delicious way to whip up some cookies.  You've lost me as a cookie customer. Being 100% honest!!

HORRIBLE - I created this account just to leave a review on how terrible the "new" recipe is.  Historically, I only used Pillsbury brand because the taste and smell were delicious.  The second half of this roll was tossed, uncooked.  I will not be buying anymore unless I notice the old recipe is brought back, until then I'll just have to deal with Tollhouse - which is FAR better than what I just ate.  I type this as I have a horrible aftertaste in my mouth. Just gross.

Would give 0 if I could. I've been a fan of these cookies forever. I always chose them over Tollhouse but not any more. And no I won't be buying any of cookie from you either. If people want cookies without the extra stuff make them at home. People eat cookies for the taste not the nutrients and these taste disgusting.

Can I give these zero stars or negative stars?? These are absolutely terrible. I applaud Pillsbury for looking for a "cleaner" recipe, but that's when you bring the recipe on in addition to your previous recipe. Keebler for example kept their cookies and brought on a "Simply Made" group of cookies that are "cleaner". I used your cookies for all sorts of my recipes for various desserts and unfortunately, you just lost a customer who has gone to Nestle Toll House. And based on the lack of stars here and negative comments all over the internet, I'm certainly not the only one you lost.

My family and I loved these cookies since my children were born. We would make them every week while we watched our favorite show. Now, all of that is ruined with this disgusting new recipe. These went from the best thing I have ever eaten to something that makes me want to throw up the second I smell them. I don't get why you tried to make them "healthier" when if we're cookies we're already going to eat something unhealthy. What a disgrace.

thank you thank you thank you. These are the best cookies. Just like homemade. The cookies are a perfect texture when baked and best mildly cooled down. Thank you for removing all of the "fake flavors". Obviously the comments below don't know what healthier sweets are. Would love to see a peanut butter cookie soon. Thanks

Pillsbury I love you, but had to comment that I'm not in love with your new cookie recipe.  My Mom wanted me to add that they tasted like saw dust with an occasional tasteless chip.  I'm not sure which or how many consumers were asking for this change, but I was not one of them.  I've purchased your cookie dough for years and years and have never been disappointed. Hopefully enough consumers will comment their opinion that you will consider going back to your original recipe.  Also, Palm oil is one ingredient I try to avoid due to it's contribution to deforestation, among other bad things for the environment.

These are awful. You took s staple of childhood and ruined it. The texture is all wrong and the taste of just bad. We could never leave these for Santa. If you want to make a healthier option, go ahead but cookies are not about health, they are about memories, warmth, family, Christmas night, snow days. These cookies attend about any of those things. My entire family despised them. We prepared for a lovely family evening centered around making cookies and sharing stories, and were so disappointed. I wouldn't feed these to my dog. You just lost generations of cookie lovers here.
