Tastes like the cardboard box it comes in. I originally ate some of the dough, could definitely taste the cardboard. I thought it might bake out but it didn't. Still tastes just like cardboard. Really disappointed.

This new recipe is terrible! I know there are some out there who will like this perhaps you can satisfy both parties by having a simple/clean/natural version (this new terrible recipe) and the original version. Similarly to how Keebler's kept their original products and added the simply made versions to their line. As I fear you will loose a huge amount of regular die hard customers with this new recipie. I tried really hard to like it even made it more than once but I can't so for now I will have to begin exploring other brands. 

I'm sorry that I didn't see these reviews before I bought two large rolls of these to bake for a party. It's a good thing that I tasted one of the cookies ahead of time, because they taste is so bad that I'm embarrassed to serve them. I threw both batches away, and am now headed to the store to buy some ready-made cookies! 

OMG, is this a marketing ploy, you release a terrible recipe to re-gain market share when you bring the original back? I like everyone else grew up on these cookies. At age 57 they were still my go to comfort food. Not only is this new recipe horrible but the old recipe was perfect, and why oh why would you mess with perfection. Don't wait another day, bring it back now!! I like many others tasted first batch and immediately threw them out. The feedback seems unanimous, pillsbury, we are waiting! 

These are awful. You took s staple of childhood and ruined it. The texture is all wrong and the taste of just bad. We could never leave these for Santa. If you want to make a healthier option, go ahead but cookies are not about health, they are about memories, warmth, family, Christmas night, snow days. These cookies attend about any of those things. My entire family despised them. We prepared for a lovely family evening centered around making cookies and sharing stories, and were so disappointed. I wouldn't feed these to my dog. You just lost generations of cookie lovers here.

I am quite disappointed in this new cookie dough. I absolutely LOVE the chocolate chip cookie dough so I was excited when this new recipe came out.......... Then to my surprise YUCK. So now that's it for me and this cookie dough. You guys should change the recipe back. 

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I buy this product because it says it can also be consumed raw. I've been buying it for many years. The last 2 logs tasted rotten and they were purchased from different stores. I think I may switch to nestle because the nestle brand because I'm guessing they changed ingredients or flavor.

I don't usually use packaged cookies. I usually make my own form a recipe on a chocolate bits package. I don't know what the "old recipe" for these cookies tasted like so I can't judge. However, I don't know what the fuss is. The old recipe must have been the best cookies on earth because I found this recipe to be satisfactory.
