Great console, (for those who can get it). Backwards compatibility is huge, I can play almost all my ps4 games on it, disk or download, with no issues (except for a few like Need for Speed). Looking forward to playing Demon's souls and Assassin's creed Valhalla when I get them. It also doesn't have a loud fan noise when playing like the ps4 did, although it occasionally makes a small buzzing noise.

Some bugs like minor crashes or downloading issues but it's as good as you'd imagine. It's not insanely revolutionary or as absolutely essential but worth getting if you can manage to snag one. Imagine a PS4 Pro Pro Pro Pro with updated UI. Super fast loading when launching and downloading games and buttery smooth 60fps with great resolution. Genuinely no complaints but it's essentially a better means of playing the same thing. Regardless, snag one if you can, it's worth it imo

I went from a early release PS4 that was on its last leg to a PS5, Its light years faster. The haptics in the controller are amazing. Shipped super fast and got it in a couple days. I was one of the lucky ones that grabbed it during one of the timed drops. PlayStation and the retailers could of done a better job with supply and demand of the product.

Great console. The ordering process wasn't as fun since it went super fast but was able to secure one the 3rd time it was available for purchase. As for the console, its huge, but it is fast, games look good and excited to see what it will mature into.

The controller is amazing and with it and the new UI it really makes this the only real next-gen console. the series x is great but it is just the same system with some new hardware. The PS5 feels like something new, They broke the shell and the App and console integration works flawlessly. Games, even ps4 load much faster. Add a usb3 external HDD to store your ps4 games on and they still load faster, but you are not eating up your limited internal storage. this is a must-buy if you are a PlayStation fan or even a pc gamer something nice about having a console ready to go.

I have been a gamer for 40 years, & I have waited for this day to come. Games now have very little load time on the system, and the immersive experience through Sony's new controller is amazing! It adds a new dimension to gaming that has to be experienced to believe it!

The PS5 is absolutely AMAZING I really love it, I really like the fast speed it has from starting the system opening a game and playing it. It literally takes seconds to start playing games. The controller is the highlight of the PS5 the use of the dual sense is so awesome through every game Ive played so far I really love the controller its so unique from any other controller I used!

First off, this thing is massive. I've been following it for a long time, knew the dimensions of it, and still underestimated just how large it is. Luckily it still fit in my current center (barely). setup was straight forward. I would recommend not running an internet speed test on the console while transferring files from the ps4. This canceled my transfer and starting it again manually was a bit of a chore since it is buried in the settings. All of my tv settings were recognized by the console and set automatically. I would recommend double checking that your tv is in game mode though since that is not automatically triggered. The default game controller settings are a godsend for an inverted player like myself. No more changing every game the first time I boot up. I would suggest everybody to look through all the settings when you first boot up. There are some legitimately useful options there To address any quality issues that have shown up on the internet; In the 3 days of ownership I have had one short black screen issue, where it appeared to lose connection with the tv while playing astrobot. it lasted for a few seconds, and then recovered just fine. I have not had an issue with putting it in rest mode or with hearing coil whine as others have reported. I'm really enjoying the feature set of the console, the controller is fun and adds a little extra to the games that I have played so far. In my opinion it is not the game changer that others have touted, but does provide a nice surprise from time to time that makes me smile. 3D audio on the other hand I feel like has been undersold by a lot of reviewers. With my PlayStation platinum headphones, it really has put me in awe sometimes. A few times I have just put my controller down while in game to listen to all of the different sounds. Storage is a bit of an issue, but mostly with ps4 games that I have brought over. transferring over my mostly full 500gb ps4 hard drive created a mostly full ps5 hard drive. It seems like PS5 games may be smaller than advertised on the box. Demon's Souls states 66gb of storage on the box, but when I installed it was only taking up 30 gb of space. So that was a pleasant surprise. Overall I would say if you've been thinking about getting one to get it when availability frees up. My condolences to those who want to and can't, I was lucky to find myself in the right place at the right time during the first pre-order rush, but have tried to help friends to do the same with absolutely no success.

First game I tried ( uncharted 4 ) disk wouldn't play without frame rates dropping so bad I couldn't play it. Other games have been fine. I hope other PS4 games don't have the same problems in the future. This PS5 is big! Have to admit I like my PS4 Pro size better. New controller is great !

Also, as far as the PS5 the system is overall a great system. No issues turning it on and playing games. It is just a system that works! There is a noticeable difference is download speed as in PS4 console it usually took about an hour to play a game. With this system it take 5-10 Minuets. PlayStation finally got it right and I appreciate the hard work from Sony and Wal-Mart to bring a tremendous experience at home.
