So first of all I want to thank Walmart for not only actually letting me buy a the seemingly non-existent PS5, they deliver it 10 days before the actual delivery date! The only problem I had was having to constantly refresh the page and constantly hitting add to cart (due to bots and scalpers unfortunately so it kept going out of stock even when it said that there was stock so obviosuly the bots and god knows how many actual gamers made it really difficult to go to checkout) and somehow I managed to secure one since it kept saying it went out of stock even during the 10 min stock releases that they had. For those of you thinking about quantity, Walmart had the good sense to keep it limited to one console per purchase so as to support the customer rather than scalpers I'm guessing.. It was scheduled to arrive on Jan 9th but in fact came today afternoon (December 30th). Everything seems to be working well and I do not have any complaints so far. Out of every retailer who has been having these online time windows for buying these ever-fleeting next gen consoles, Walmart handled it in the best and most user friendly way (I'm looking at you BestBuy).

I had finally managed to secure a purchase of a digital PS5 but Walmart had oversold the quantity they had. They upgraded my order to the disc-drive version (the one I originally wanted) free of charge! Delivery was quick and the console is fantastic.

I know that everyone has had a hard time getting this an giving multiple stores sites a hard time for not handling it right but what did everyone expect when they are only a few million consoles for sale and 10s of millions of people trying to get them?? Anyways, I managed to get lucky and snag one of these on the Black Friday release and it has been awesome since I was able to pick it up a few days after that. It has been well worth the wait and I couldn't be happier with the console.

finally got it after a couple months of trying, wish it didn't arrived damaged though, there was a small dent in one of the side panels. I plan on replacing the side panel, but otherwise I am very happy with the purchase and can't wait to play on it!

Been a lifelong Playstation gamer. Also a lifetime Xbox Gamer. Yes I'm both! BUT, this PS5 is hands down my favorite of all of them. Was able to secure it during the 12/17 drop and even though sat in the Cart for 2 weeks as 'Pending Order', it shipped second week of January and had it in 3 days. Can't complain and lovin' every minute of it.

The console itself is amazing and I've really enjoyed everything I've played, but the purchasing experience was terrible. All of my friends who are trying to get one have constantly had trouble securing one, with Walmart's website crashing and not even allowing a minute for them to get one. I got lucky, but it's not as easy for everyone else.

Received ps5 ahead of schedule!! I combated the bots that previously made it difficult to acquire. Recommend using the wal mart app. Setup up was simple an the ps5 works wonders no issues. I've left it on, it turns itself off, I've put it in rest mode an have a external plugged in. No issues

Got the system faster then delivery date stated but that excitement went away soon as I saw the box they shipped it in. The box was 10 inches bigger then the Playstation box itself and there was no bubble wrap or any other protection to stop it from moving around so freely in the box. Add that with the crappy delivery service that FedEx provides and you have the ingredients for disappointment. The PS5 box was damaged and who know how much banging around it did. Adding salt to the womb, the Walmart tape used to let you know the box wasn't tampered with was actually cut on all 4 edges and the top was cut part way to the middle so you could see inside the box. Glad I got it. Just now happy with how I got it. Use a smaller box and adding protection for people expensive items.

I was one of the few lucky ones who beat the bots. Word of advice use the Walmart apps's instead of logging online on a computer. This is actually our second PS5 console (got the other one from Bestbuy last November 12). I got this one earlier than expected in Walmart.

I managed to get this system for my bf at 9pm on the 25th. As soon as the clock turned 9, I waited 10-15 seconds and went right to the checkout with complete ease. I guess while everyone else was getting kicked off in the first few seconds (including my bf) I waited and was lucky. He loves the system. One helpful piece of advice: wait a few seconds after the drop so everyone whose been jumping the gun can get kicked off and you have that small window of opportunity to slip in there and get it while they're refreshing the “oh deer” page...
