What's not to love about the hardware? Definitely a step up from the PS4 pro in performance. The controller feels much more comfortable in my opinion, and the adaptive triggers are super immersive and fun. I wish my Sony TV did 120fps, though most games don't even have 120fps modes. At least my TV does 60fps 4K HDR. I plugged my external SSD from my PS4 into the PS5 and I could play those games right away. Maybe at some point I will need to add a internal SSD expansion, but for now the external is fine. I did order some DarkPlates (gen1) and a Damascus skin and put them on right away. And soon I'll be mounting this in a better location. All that said, the ps4 pro is still a really great console, especially when paired with an external SSD, or if your TV / monitor can't even handle like mine or worse. Overall I'm happy as it's sure to support my gaming needs for years to come.

My first PS console since the PS1 ! Very excited ! As a big Nintendo fan here for the last 6 years there were some games I wanted to play on the Playstation which motivated me to get back into Sony's highly touted console and what no better than the new next-gen one. Still love my Nintendo but excited to check out some of these other games I've been missing the last few years and what the future holds with it. So far the OS is great, smooth, and seamless. Do check out the included game - Astros Playroom - as that one is real delight and showcases the controller's capabilities, which I would say is a step up from the Nintendo pro controller. Even an older game like Battlefront 2 looks so good and so real on this thing I am blown away by the detail and smoothness of it. Thanks Wal-Mart for coming thru on this one ! Happy gaming y'all !

March 18th I was able to get two of the one that take disc. Walmart made it so easy to really get one because of how they were dropping them every ten minutes. There's a trick to securing one and glad I figured it out within a nick of time. My husband and son didn't believe I had got 2 of them. Graphics are great I haven't played a PlayStation since PS3 but definitely had fun with the PS5. If you can catch one it's worth it. With the right TV!

I was one of those guys who got mad as heck when I was not able to get one but I just kept trying and trying each time they were in stock til I failed for Black Friday so I stayed on the screen for a couple minutes past 9pm and I was able to purchase after refreshing the page millions of times after it said temporarily out of stock. Pick up at the store was easy and smooth but my drive back home was reckless. Lives up to the hype and I'm super stoked to be playing it right now. It is bigger than I thought but it just compliments my tv. Loading times are ridiculously fast and graphics are super awesome, especially for a person who isn't a huge gamer. If you haven't had a chance to get one I'd say cherish your current game system and play it til it gives out because this new one is next level. Best of luck!

There were a few kinks to work out at first, but the opportunity to own the next generation technology is so exciting! The controller feedback and vibration is so revolutionary, and the clarity of images on the screen with 4k technology blows me away! You owe it to yourself, your kids, or that special person in your life to get a PS5 as soon as they are available.

Very happy I was finally able to purchase this console and I'm very happy giving 5 stars, but not very happy with the overall system itself, the console constantly has problems loading and what not. On the other side it's a very clean visually and I'm overall pretty happy with it.

Exactly what I hoped for. I waited a good month or so before reviewing in case there were issues with the console that weren't readily apparent, but there haven't been any problems at all. The console is lightning fast; all my load times on Genshin Impact for example have been less than 2 seconds. The disc drive works just fine. Streaming services perform better as well. The console is bigger than I expected though, which is tricky because I don't have a lot of space to work with. Came in packaged very well. 10/10. If you're impatient like me and have the extra cash to spare for a marked up PS5, this is a safe bet.

if you are able to get your hands on the console it is amazing, however, if you like to play new games currently there is a very limited selection and the prices are insane now. If you play fps games like call of duty, then you are in for an amazing experience, they state that you get stable 120 fps and it is most certainly true. The frames are stable as can be, the load times are amazing, and the games look amazing. So if you do get your hands on it, you could be in for an amazing experience!

The console runs phenomenally, incredibly quiet and the free game that it comes with is actually fun. On the topic of delivery, I have seen many complaints, I placed my order on a Thursday and got my console on Saturday morning with everything in perfect condition. I highly recommend buying from Walmart with my experience.

Just as expected. Incredibly fast loading time. Graphics are beautiful. The controller is just WOW!!! Its one thing to read about it or watch reviews on it, but to experience it in your hands is mind blowing. I know this baby is hard to get your hands on, but trust me the wait will be all worth it!!!
