Easy to hook up, but they should add a couple extra items that you would need to keep a double hung window from opening further and some insulation to keep the air out between the panels. At least maybe suggest it for purchase before check out. This unit struggles to cool but after a long while it just makes it. I would have opted for more BTU s if they were available at the time of purchase. Im concerned once August comes that it might not get the job done. It also does not dehumidify much in the a/c mode. I didn't realize when I purchased it that its a separate mode that when used, you now have to empty or have to buy a hose to get the water out. Had I known that part I would have passed on this one. The jury's out on keeping it.

We bought this to supplement our house A/C. With only two of us we felt there is no reason to cool the whole house at night. The unit was easy to set up even though the exhaust pipe was a tad fussy and stiff. The unit cools the bedroom fine. My biggest complaint is the noise. I find it extremely noisy. When the compressor kicks in it is even noisier. It is so noisy that I would not buy this again. If you are a light sleeper do not buy this unit as it will keep you awake.

THIS PORTABLE AIR CONDITIONER IS VERY QUIET. THE ONLY THING I HAVE TROUBLE IS, I DON'T KNOW IF THE AC IS RECEIVING MY REMOTE. THERE IS NO SIGN OR BUTTON TO SHOW THAT IT IS MAKING CONTACT, BUT SURE ENOUGH, IF I WAIT LONG ENOUGH, IT WILL TURN ON AND OFF.

I have a smaller, much cheaper Global Air unit that seems to cool a larger area than this one. The window attachments are better quality and easier to install than the Global Air's, but I'm a little dissapointed in the Honeywell's cooling ability. Even when the fan is on the High setting, it doesn't help a lot.

I like the unit itself, how it looks, how it works and how easy it can be relocated. It has a modern look to it and easy to roll wheels underneath. We have it just for a week and it works great so far and cools big open space very fast. One thing that I dont like is the length of the exhaust tube. I think for the money that we paid we should have a longer tube that gives us more comfortable way to operate and more flexibility. our unit is stuck to the wall next to window and unable to move away even for an inch or be turned different direction. Thats how short the tube is. Its available on amazon and definitely needed if you want more flexibility.

Very pleased with this unit. It has far surpassed my expectations, cooling the room very quickly even with vaulted ceilings. I purchased as an addition to my central A/C to keep the bedroom cooler and hopefully safe some $$ on my electric bill. Why cool the entire house for just 1 person? I cranked it down to 63 to test it out with outdoor temp about 90 and cooled the room off within a couple hours. Compressor is very quiet, although I wish there was a lower fan speed, but overall it's much quieter than other units I've used. I had to contact the customer support due to a issue with the remote and they shipped a new one to me the next day. Very pleasant experience! Highly recommend Honeywell!!!!

Ordered this on line during a heat wave when my other air conditioner broke and was thrilled to receive it! Once I turned it on, the room temperature immediately started to drop. Have used it during very humid weather and have not had to empty the water out of it. It appears to be self-evaporating as it is supposed to be doing.

I recently purchased my home and it does not have AC:( after doing some research I decided to purchase this portable AC and it has been a LIFESAVER. I mainly keep it in my bedroom with the door open and it manages to keep my second level cool. With the my bedroom door shut it keeps it ICY COLD!! This is definitely a must buy!!!

excellent product

It cools the room well enough but once a day we have to reset our breakers because it shuts off a portion of the bedroom. Not all but a portion. Why is that?
