Best out of 3 brands we have owned

Out of the 3 brands we have owned, this has been the best! Haven't had to empty a bucket for drainage yet (so far 3 weeks of nightly use-wintertime), is quietest (but still gives us the "white noise" we like to drown out household and neighborhood activities while sleeping). The last brand we had jarred us awake when the compressor kicked on, this one sooo much better. The prior 2 brands we had to hook a hose to the units to drain the condensation into a bucket (we used a large Costco laundry detergent container), and empty every night. In the summertime there was about 2 gallons of liquid in the bucket. I expect I may have to hook up the hose in the summer, we'll see.... For the bedroom/sleeping, the temperature light is kind of bright, we put a little piece of electrical tape over it, but then we don't get much range on the remote control. Overall, so far we are extremely happy with our purchase. Walmart had the best price and super-fast shipping- ordered online on Friday Jan. 6th and received the next day!

Best of the best and real Cool.

This is the third roll around A/C unit I have bought and the best one. My other two units build up water in a small tank and when it's full the unit shuts down and as to be drained (about a pint). This new Honeywell 12CSE was advertised as passing all the water out the exhaust flex hose ( if it didn't it was going back) and it does, been using it for two weeks now and every drop of water is gone. The controls are very easy to use it's a touch system like a cell phone. Instead of using the window adapter that came with the unit I cut a sheet of heavy gauge aluminum to fit the window opening then using sheet metal screws anchored the sheet to the window frame. I then cut a opening in the aluminun to match the output hose adapter . The unit is very quiet and the cycle between A/C and air is very reliable. Am going to have to mfg a new window screen as the old screen was cut to fit the old in window A/C unit and could not be salvaged. Walmart gave a five day delivery to store delivery but was there in three.

Better than I expected

I purchased this ac unit for my rv. It is 40 foot long with 4 slides with a basement air conditioner and it hasn't ever cool down in hot weather. The Honeywell 12000 BTU unit cool the motorhome down within 3 hours to 73 degrees and the temperature outside was 96. It is a simple operation to set up and with digital thermometer the temperature coming out of the unit would be down to 41 degrees. Great unit and I would recommend it to anyone.

Portable air conditioner

Very nice unit. Works well and is easy to put in and take out of the window. I have no one to help me put in and take out a large bulky window air conditioner and this works great for me.

Works great!

I purchased this unit to cool the upstairs of our home. Three bedrooms and full bath equating to approximately 940 sf. We are very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to others. We placed it in a room that is not currently occupied so that the noise would not be in a room with someone. Also, it cools so well that that one room is chilly with the others comfy.

Honeywell Portable AC

This unit is working pretty well for us. We live in Florida and we are using it in our garage which has not been converted, but has an insulated garage door. The unit cools the room down pretty fast and considering the heat outside (95 degrees on some days and 90 percent humidity), it gets it to a comfortable area (about 77 degrees). The really great thing about it is that it is significantly quieter than another model we tried. We are pretty happy with it. Oh, and buying online and having it shipped is definitely the way to go. That was really convenient.

Installs with ease

Living in a 100+ house and heating with steam, we cannot use central air so window units seem to offer the best option. This installs so quickly and easily which is also a plus for seniors as there's no heavy lifting of window units into and out of place. It seems to cool nicely and we use it, along with 2 other units to cool the 6 rooms on the main level, which keeps the house nicely cool on hot summer days!

Works pretty great!

Bought this as a back up to an older central air unit. Installation was easy and immediately started pumping frigid air. Takes some of the pressure off our older unit and keeps the livingroom nice and cool. Recommend!

Item is just OK

This is a pretty powerful unit. We're using it to cool 3 rooms and it does fairly well. That's the good. The bad is that you have to attach a hose for drainage, even in AC mode, which the manual says isn't necessary. And it REALLY dehumidifies. The other reason for a tepid review is that we got a returned unit. The remote was missing, it didn't have a manual and the accessories were just 'tossed in'.
