There should be a more concise and tighter way to input data into the Sked C. When you have multiple 1099s and multiple Cash payments your system leaves a lot to be desired. I will research H&R Block for next year because of the Editing process on the Sked C is too cumbersome. Plus, it appears that too many people have filed reviews which limits the availability of Nick Names

I hope someone will read this . It was a difficult experience this year to review the taxes and file it . For some reason the system made me pay for the state part of the taxes. I thought it was in the price of the Turbo tax. Also , it felt very strange and uncomfortable to keep hitting continue and I was not sure if I was continuing on . The software kept wanting me to go to the area where you had to buy and pay for the services. Just overall bad. RITA tax is awful only showed husbands amounts and my needed to be shown too ( I saw it on the forms but not on the program - very confusing ) and I could not change the W2 for myself. Only husband's was in it . Not sure what you did with this program , but it used to be easier it seems. I've used Turbo Tax for many many years 10+

Have been using TurboTax for about 18 years. Convenient to transfer basic information from one year to the next. Found it does not always ask for needed information when dealing with pensions and tax deferred accounts - particularly where the employee made contributions that were pre-Federal tax but post-State tax. Also difficult to go back and make corrections to these entries and necessary to go to the forms. Overall a good product and I intend to keep using it in the future.

Overall the software works. It seems a bit slow on a modern computer with lots of RAM and CPU... Oddly after first day of every operation taking 1 minute+ (nothing else was slow on same PC) everything was okay the next day. It doesn't allow you to import last year's turbotax data once you've started filing, so I had to start over again once I got that. Importing financial institution data failed to work behind firewall (worked at home). Doesn't allow find-in-page searches. All minor gripes; overall it got me through the process but just took a few extra hoops to do so.

The point to TurboTax is because my taxes are complicated, and I really don't know how to do them myself, and don't want to hire an accountant. For some reason TurboTax hasn't figured out how to put numbers from my investments where they need to be, even though I import all the info. I still have to manually enter things like dividends, capital gains, and foreign taxes. I don't always know how to do the calculations and where to put things, so I still need to use an accountant, even after finishing TurboTax. It also doesn't calculate the difference between my Housing Allowance and housing expenses without me doing a manual entry.

I've been using TurboTax for a number of years now, but this year some things have changed, and not for the better. I own and live in a 2 family duplex and rent out the other side. In the past TurboTax has figured out everything for me as far as expenses, property tax etc. divided between the two units. Not this year. It was, to say the least, a bit confusing and disappointing. I hope I did things right. TurboTax should go back to the way they used to do the taxes for you.

I don't know why I keep buying TT. This will really be the last year. It does the Federal return just fine. But when I go to do the state (MO) it chokes and kicks me into manual mode. I have to figure out which forms to bring up and fill in the boxes myself. To do this I have to use the previous year's return as a guide and it takes a lot of time and effort. Next year I will try one of the competitors products and hope it does better.

I have used Turbo tax for many years and loved it. However, filling out form 2110 was a nightmare! I have no confidence if I completed it correctly. I worked almost 3 full days creating the data to file it quarterly and am still not confident that I completed it correctly. There is no way that I cab do it step-by-step?

Had to update MAC operating system. Now my 2011 Quickbooks, yes developed by intuit no longer works with my computer. Every newer personal finance system works with ICloud. There is no option unless I want to pay a significant amount of money and even at that, there's some facet that needs to operate over the internet or icloud. I just want something I can use on my computer without having to share and pay for storage on the internet.

I have used Turbo Tax for over 20 years. I have never seen Form 1210 before and I did not like the time it took to gather the extra data for no reason at all as I had more than covered the withholding in the RMD from the IRA and my W-2. Besides, I do not know until 4th quarter what the final AGI is going to look like.
