As always, OUTSTANDING! Turbo tax has been my preferred method for about 20 years or more. I like that it keeps my data from last year and immediately transfers it to this current year to get started. All my rental houses, and usual income sources are already there!

This year's version didn't fill me with confidence. The discrepancy between Fed and State was substantial. Correcting information was extremely frustrating. For example, I had purchased the same stock at multiple times. TT said that I was missing information (purchase date). When I selected edit, the cursor position was at the first entry item and not the highlighted missing information. When I entered v for various, I realized I was in the wrong position. Too bad for me, I couldn't reverse my error so I had to go through 100s of stock sales to figure out which one I was working on because the name was gone. Unfortunately, I made this mistake more than once. Needless to say, I wanted to throw my computer through the wall. On another matter, I received a K-1 and during input of the K-1 TT said that I had to setup multiple K-1s. TT never said which data to put on the second (or third for that matter) K-1. So.. I think I over reported because when I added the 2nd one my tax basis went up VS when I had everything on one K-1.

Great product. This is the second year I've used Turbotax. Very easy to use and walks you through each step. You need to keep your wits and follow each step as the software repeats questions in each section and there were some new issues for 2016 to deal with. Even an old guy like me can master filing on my own.

I used an accountant last year rather than TurboTax, which I've always used in prior years. I couldn't find a way to transfer basic info from my 2015 return, on which I used TurboTax, rather than last year's. Perhaps the possibility was there and I just missed it.

Many items that had to be manually filled out were available in previous years return. There were items that asked about the previous year, and the UI provides no obvious way to check that return. Also, the final process of submitting the return requires a lot of manual data entry.

My prior home was being reported as a rental property. I transferred title to a family trust with my adult children as the beneficiaries. The entire tax year of 2017 and in the future two of my adult children will reside in the property. My question is how do I report this change to the IRS and the Ca FTB???

All in All this years Turbo Tax was great. I was able to get to all of the forms required and enter data with less effort than previous years. However, when I was reviewing the stock entries, I noticed that something was out of wack. One of the stocks had imported incorrectly and it was showing a huge loss. I was able to correct the entry but if I hadn't I'm sure the IRS would have been sending me a letter.

As always, Turbotax is a lifesaver. There may be a glitch, though: it's very hard to cover nuances like these, but when indicating in my personal info that I live in another country (Foreign), I couldn't file until I set a date for when I moved to California. That's the thing - I DIDN'T move to California, I've been a non-resident since 2016! It would be great to see this fixed on next year's return! Many thanks for a truly revolutionary software.

Terrible or i just can't figure out how to bypass inputing drivers license input even though it should just click through. A real issue. Little to no available technical support. Post a message to the community seems to be the best that can be done or so well hidden no one can figure out how to contact turbo tax. Long time user and this is the worst experience. May consider something different next year.

I love this program. It makes doing may taxes simple and easy while providing step by step instructions. The only item that appears different from the great application that I'm use to is It's Deductible. Usually it is included and the packaging says it is but it seems to only be able to import from the Web version of It's Deductible. usually you can do either, online or within the program; seems online is the only option now.
