finished returns - printed and said I had tax to pay. wrote check and sent it in. later tried to go back and efile to save paper after finding last years return - it would not let me until an update was made from intuit. did the download and then said I owed a lot more money without any new info loaded - just the update. both reviews said they were correct. therefore - can't be trusted.

I have been using TurboTax for 5years now and have always found it pretty easy. This year even though it took longer due to file 2016 taxes due to multiple resident states. We were still able to get it done and get a return. I was also able to chat with live agent who helped greatly!

I am always concerned when I receive "updates" after filing my return. In addition, clarification and explanations are somewhat obtuse. Since the bulk of the SW appears to be "cookbooked" year after year, I think more attention could be focused on improving user friendliness.

I have been using Turbo Tax for over 30 years. Of all the tax software available this is the best at least for me. I used to prepare individual and corporate tax returns for a major CPA firm and this software is far superior to what they had for tax preparation. I would like a little more leeway in being able to override some feature areas. But overall it is a great package.

I like TurboTax very much. The thing I do not like about it is when you click the back button to check something, it goes through many things you have already entered. It does not resume where you left off. So you have to click through all those answers that you have completed previously.

I use turbotax every year as it is easy to fill in tax info and file returns. However, it doesn't handle the life-events for H1/L1 visas who are non immigrant workers (for eg. workers from India). Take a classic example of my case, i got married in mid Nov 2017 and got my enrolled into insurance from Nov 2017. However, the software expects to have her enrolled in insurance through out year 2017 or else, it deducts tax for the period, she was not insured in US. This is ridiculous as she can get insured only after she got married to me. I am sure, the same case for baby too. This needs to be fixed.

Easy to use but would not allow to have a check sent to address when e-filing. Had to print and send by mail. Even agreeing to deduct the $39.99 from the refund would not allow me to select having a check sent to my mailing address. Not happy at all about this omission.

My company had an entry in box 14 identified as "QDISE". I'm guessing that companies can put anything in there that they want? This entry relates to ESPP extra income that was added to my W-2 income. I ended up selecting "other" for the resolution of this field. Is it normal for companies to use this field for ESPP income? If yes, I would have been more comfortable if I could have found a match for this condition as part of the options...

TT has saved me a ton of time and worry the last several years. It's easy step through screens make entering your tax data simple, while the ability to check the rendered forms gives you piece of mind. Plus a couple of times in the last few years, I've asked a question or two of one of their experts and always got a quick insightful response. I'm not gonna say that TT has me looking forward to tax time every year, but I certainly don't dread it anymore!

While the Mac version of TurboTax Premier works fine, there is a huge problem in the product family: TurboTax Business (required for Partnerships, LLCs, Trusts & Estates) only works on Windows. This is a major gap & a Mac version should have been created years ago. Given the large number of Macs now used exclusively at businesses & homes, this is a big misstep & really needs to be corrected this year. Intuit has the knowledge & money to do this, so it needs to be done now.
