I'm old school (BC) - Before computers. Checks & Balances insure accuracy but are a pain sometimes when filling in all of the blanks. All in all, I wouldn't go back to the old way. TT is user friendly but I was spoiled to Lacerte when I did full time tax prep. Teddy

I am disappointed that the IRS regulations and instructions are no longer available directly from the TT program. Also I find it annoying that if I go back to check one thing in a section, then going forward I need to run through the whole of that section again. I suggest a "return to previous spot" choice.

Two areas in particular: 1. Why ask repeatedly about filing state taxes, when I tell you up front that I live in Texas? 2. Also, why suggest repeatedly that I/we consider an IRA, when you know that we're both over 70 years old? Your excellent program could still use some streamlining.

I have been using Turbotax for about 15 years. Importing my data and reminding me of prior years sources of income, donations, and investments makes it easy for me to manage. I have only had 1 minor tax return correction over the years and have felt very confident that Turbotax is helping file accurately each year.

TurboTax continues to be an easy and thorough tax filing program with detailed instructions for all tax filing situations. There was a bit of a surprise, however, when I had to buy TurboTax Premier this year to file the Capital Gains Schedule D after having it included with the Deluxe version for so many years!

Had a download problem with Wells Fargo information. It ended up a recognition problem between TurboTax and Wells Fargo with my password. TurboTax doesn't like capital letters. TurboTax needs to prompt for traditional IRA info for the "for your files no filing info" . Info is needed when distributions are taken. Need consistency needed between one year and another. Form 8606 doesn't seem to generate automatically when there is a distribution to report.

downloaded version extremely slow and buggy. Very slow and crashed multiple times trying to adjust cost basis for trades, a lot of scrolling back down to were i was working last(lots of trades). Also crashed several times trying to E-file. what's wrong with there dev team?

I was under the wire, being last day to file. Started last night, 4-16-2018. Yes, I need to start earlier next year. With some unexpected illness and accident of my husband, I was wondering if I just might need to file an extension. So, I started actually entering as if I would finish and be able to e-file. And, was so happy that Turbo Tax helped me actually file each form needed and on 4-17-2018. I feel so good having my taxes e-filed and on time without needing to file any extensions! Thank you Turbo Tax! You are worth everything I have paid over the years to have the assistance and reviews at my fingertips! I will certainly continue to file our taxes with this program!

Overall great experience. No phone contact, left message to call back, no call back, locked account up trying to remember last years password. Your retrieval process kept sending me emails that pointed me to the solution page requests that did not have my option. INFURIATING. I created a new account due to the frustration.

I've been using turbo-tax since the 1980's and rely on your good work. Either your programs have gotten so complicated to enter ot the Federal Tax Laws have gotten to the point that a common citizen cannot file their own taxes. We need a much simpler tax code for the people to use.
