I have been using TurboTax for many years and have only rarely had to ask an accountant or tax accountant to explain issues. But, after many years of tax filing I still dread the time I have to enter company stock sales. All the different versions of company stocks (FMVs, cost, ordinary income, PSU, RSU, ESPP) and where they go is complicated. Once you figured it out you will have to go through the interview process over and over again - painful. Having spreadsheets offered by Intuit once you have a single interview process for one kind entered (a "pop-up" asking you if you have other of the same kind) would help a lot. The existing attachment option where you then can sum up all sales of the same kind in TT does put the onerous task of calculating the correct tax on the user.

For those of us that have gambling winnings (W2-G), it would be extremely useful if there was a way to duplicate a Certain Gambling Winnings form for the instance we have more than one win at a casino. This would allows us to duplicate the form and change only the info that was different. As it stands now, we have to enter all the info for each W2-G we have received - a very tedious and error prone process.

TurboTax needs to improve its capability to deal with Schedule K-1. I spent lots of time to pass the check of federal tax part because of the problem of Box 16 conflict codes. Fortunately I got the problem fixed with the information online. TurboTax should guide the user to solve the problem, not just pop up error message and block the user to go to next step.

I can't remember how many years I have been using TurboTax. Delivered for 2017 taxes as prior years. Plan to use for 2018. Upgraded to the next version due to adding a rental property. Took me thru the process for the rental property without any problem. Thanks.

Glad I did TT years ago. Also, helped us greatly when we, as amateurs, didn't realize we had to file with another state because of a small business investment. Using TT allowed us to go back 3 yrs., become current with tax debt in that state & have filed there ever since. Never got any backlash from that state or feds. Thank you, TT.

I have used TurboTax for several years for various family members. I am a licensed CPA, but I don't work with taxes in my current career. However, I know enough about taxes to appreciate this program - easy to use, helpful features such as carrying forward prior year information (including depreciation!), and knowing that the program is looking for updates every time you open TurboTax. I feel confident when I file returns with TurboTax.

I'm extremely disappointed that, after all this time and doing everything right and filing with TurboTax for years, THIS YEAR, because I don't have a hard copy of last year's return, I can't find the AGI, from last year, to file THIS YEAR'S return, electronically. Why is this a single point show stopper and I must now mail hard copies? Extremely disappointed.

While trying to e-file, I kept getting an error that there is a technical "hiccup"? What is this description trying to convey? I am very disappointed by not being able to e-file especially when my partner is in another State! I will not use this product again since this is the second year in a row I have had a lot of issues with my tax e-files.

This years version was not up to par. It acted like it imported last years, but a lot of important info wasn't there. It cost me a lot of time to look it up and put it back in. And the records I have had from year to year were lost for depreciation on my rental. I couldn't compare this year to last which has always been a nice feature. I've been a fan for 20 years but I may not buy again next year.

I was late (by twenty five days) in transferring money from my IRA to a non IRA account. Turbo Tax did indeed direct me to IRS Form 5329. This form informs the IRS of your error and calculates the added tax due to your error. My question is, after completing Form 5329 where in Turbo Tax do you input the added tax? I found no such instructions.
