"Do any of these apply?" should be "Does any..." "None of these apply." should be "None...applies." And on and on. There are so many grammatical errors in this software that I find it distracting. I love the TurboTax preparation and have used it for 20 years! It could be more excellent with a correction of the grammar.

The form asked for wife information, but not me, so it took me a while to figure other sections were referring to both of us. Had to go back and make corrections. It should have told it was done with wife info and didn't need mine - really don't know why it didn't get her info from previous year. Did everything else pretty cleanly, managed to get it completed in about 4 hours.

To begin with, it kept wanting me to process w2s. We do not work so no W2s. Evertime it had to calculate dropped me back to home screen.then i had to click on Turbo 2017 app to get back.Had problems with gas royalty.it wanted days for rental.then it didn't want days because it was a royalty.When i clicked save the file it took the computer down. i had to power down to get it back.i was afraid i had lost everything.

I have been using turbo tax for 10 years and love the convenience and control that it provides. In previous versions they provided help videos which used examples and were easy to understand. Now the help is just reading with few examples. I liked the videos better.

Had great difficulty with reinstallation after program update: had to call, spent considerable time with intuit tech on phone, never resolved issue completely other than told to try a different computer. I don't believe my computer was the culprit as I eventually got it to work well enough. From last year had my kids as dependents, and entered info on them, but then had to delete them as they no longer qualified as dependents. That left some lingering forms and thus errors on review - instructions not ideal in describing how to delete these forms. Did figure it out.

I will pay my quarterly IRS estimates from my IRA (withholding the full estimate), but since I requested no quarterly payments, no total amount of the quarterlies could be found. Where should this amount be printed? It is needed to specify the amount to be withheld from my IRA withdrawal. I was not sure what worksheets should be submitted with the tax forms.

I have used TurboTax for years and will continue to do so. What I find at times tho is when I hit the back button and change whatever and then when I hit continue it sometimes does not always go to the the same screen that should have been. So don't know whats up with that. My other frustration this year was when I went to print that I couldn't do it thru Microsoft Office as nothing lined up. So had to make the extra step of going to Adobe. It's like there are to many pieces of the program that do not interface properly.

I have used turbo tax for many years. I like the easy walk through. BUT, this year, Turbo Tax did NOT pull all of my information from my prior year return and did not show me the side by side (year by year) comparison. VERY frustrating. Turbo tax pulled very LIMITED information. Frustrating!

I was charged a $3 underpayment on my MN taxes. Your system told me that if I handled that issue in a certain way my state form could not be e-filed. The system gave me 2 options, one would allow e-filing and one would not. I chose the option that would allow e-filing. I hit next and it brought up the screen to pay for my MN e-filing which I completed and paid for. I then moved ahead to upload and was told again that because of the underpayment penalty my state return could not be e-filed even though I chose the option that you said allowed it. You have my money and I have had to file My MN return by the regular mail. If you can get into the system you will see it keeps reminding me that I have not yet used my PAID FOR state upload. Of course there is no number to call or any way to get in touch with anyone. I want my money refunded!

This year often would not open when double clicked on my new High Sierra Mac. Then explanations under "Learn more" would not open when clicked. Had to resort to "Restart" for program to function correctly but then only briefly. Not happy with this year's edition of TurboTax for the Mac.
