I have used turbo tax for the past 10 years or more and every year it is harder to navigate. Need to get to the forms I need easier and change and find stuff easier.

Cannot find where to enter id pin...had the same problem last year after my e-file return is rejected. Spent hours trying to find where to enter it. This is an ongoing issue with Turbo Tax. Wont buy this software next year.

A few years back TurboTax lost its way a bit and the quality of the product dropped. 2016 was an improvement and 2017 was better yet. Glad to see Intuit listened to the user base before they lost their credibility in the tax prep space.

1. Could not pull any bank or investment 1099s whatsoever. Instructions for National Finance were totally impossible to follow. Last year same thing, no improvement. 2. Stopped from being able to claim Roth investment, when, in fact, I should've been able to make a full $6,500 for the year! Info in the system is simply wrong. 3. Input of stock, NRT, went as a Royalty, not stock investment and continually blocked from going forward until I put in National Financial address to satisfy the program! I doubt I'll use Turbo Tax again; it's getting more and more difficult with too many integral requirements.

Come up with a new statement while loading--old one has been used for years. Getting tiresome reading it year after year. Program states if there is no date for issuance of a secondary form of ID none of the above will pop up--it doesn't. There is no issuance date for Texas ID's. Keeps asking me if I want to do state taxes--it should know Texas and a few other states don't have state income tax. TT didn't download tax forms for wife's accounts at Vanguard Mutual Funds but it did download mine. Form 1099 B was a pain to enter data manually because TT kept asking for date acquired and there is no date acquired on the form 1099-B from Vanguard. Adjust the program so it prints at least two 1040-ES Payment Vouchers per page and stop printing only one voucher per page. Wasting paper.

The federal return step-by-step worked well and I really liked being able to start where ever I wanted. The Minnesota interview did not allow for reentry in the middle. BIG PROBLEM!!! As of 2/10/18, there is still a problem with Minnesota Schedule M1NC.

It would be nice if intentionally skipped items in the return allowed you to flag them as such. State filing especially for more than one state is way too expensive. Will consider an alternative vendor next year. State filing should include reduced e-file fee, or be free. Who, using this product, is going to file by mail, REALLY!

The option to download information and figures from other sites has expanded and improved this year. The dividends and capital gains section was much easier to understand and provided all the required information in the drop-down selections, though they were out-of-sequence from my 1099 forms.

You should have a help line or chat room with an employee when their is a problem. I was having trouble e filing my return with questions software kept asking when I had answered that their was no Schedule C income or expense. Very disappointed with no way to contact your company.

Errors were found at the end of the return, but there were no links such as "learn more" or "get help". I ended up searching for the error on the internet, finding the help I needed for that particular error, and then inputing the information. The program *should* have indicated the error, and then linked me to help on how to address the error, or find the information it was looking for. Error messages like "state tax refund worksheet item b must be entered" should have a link or a help bubble to put the error into context.
