Have been using Turbo Tax for 10 years. Love it. Makes filing easy and simple. Step by step instructions. They constantly update Turbo Tax. I use Premier because of investments. All the info from our accounts is automatically transferred to Turbo Tax if I choose to do so. Great software for a reasonable price. Highly recommend Turbo Tax. No more dreaded tax days.

I've used TurboTax for at least a dozen years. Everyone I talk to uses it as well. I love the import from previous year, saves tons of time! Love the ability to easily compare different options for how to report. E.g., should I use state income tax or sales tax option? For me, using the sales tax option is not intuitively advantageous, but it is if you are subject to AMT. About same tax, but don't have to include state income tax refund on next year's return.

Had very detailed returns with many decisions to be made. Guidance was accurate and helped step me through each section. Could also look at worksheets to gain more information on how to proceed. Was completely satisfied that Turbotax found all the deductions available to me in my situation.

I am a long time user. I was most apprehensive this year because my father passed and I needed extra help to complete his and my return. Before I started I searched the help center and the community for help with inherited property. I was advised to not enter the 1099B forms for sales of inherited property. For my father's return, I was saved a lot of pain because I could import his 2016 return. Thank you for the help. I am a loyal customer.

Overall, I like the software and the step-by-step walkthrough it provides. I also like the help function, although it would be even greater if it popped as a balloon when it found something erroneous or unrecognizable. Multiple CUSIPS for municipal bonds was a bit of a challenge to get through, although the web page was helpful. I am a repeat user and this program has saved me lots of money over the prior CPA I used.

Unable to download itsdeductible into the Turbo tax Premium software program. Wasted time looking for help, that was not available. I entered all the itsdeductible data manually into tax forms! Although I downloaded the Tax data from TD ameritrade, the TT asked me to re-enter the dividend and foreign tax paid. I am not sure whether the dividend is entered twice and whether I am paying the tax twice!

the parts that work great are really outstanding But if you are a foreign filer and/or have a k1 there is a lot of room for improvement. frustrations especially on the Foregin Tax Credit Computation. I had to read, go back to last years, and manually enter the numbers there. for some reason it wouldn't populate based on the step by step. Then i had to manually enter an explanation for the calculation method, which was done automatically once I manually entered line 12a1 and 12a2. Plus for k1, it will say you need to fill out a separate form, but then if you have two specific line items. but couldn't find a way to do this. hope they fix these problems for next years version. was terribly time wasting and frustrating.

I'v been using Turbo tax for years and generally have no complaints. This year I needed to enter info from a sale of Non Qualified Stock Options. I have the 1099 B form with all the necessary info. However the step by step instruction would be easier to follow if the had more info relating back to the 1099 B form, such as box numbers, etc. I had to switch to the forms view and muddle through that to get all the info entered correctly. I usually get Turbo tax Deluxe but this year I got Turbo Tax Premier because of the stock sale. I was a little disappointed that I paid extra for this version and it wasn't any easier than doing the Stock sale in the Deluxe version,

Easy to use. Allows for data entry as statements come in through the mail or become available for download. Been a turbo tax user for years, and have always hated having to pay for filing state returns and downloading another state for comparison. Price should include all the e-filing and state returns required for a person to file their return for the year. Raise the price of the product instead of nickel and diming the customer for "add-ons".

I have used turbotax for at least 10 yrs. This was the worst year I have had with the program not working well. I use a Mac with the latest operating systems. The Updates would just not install until the 3 rd or 4th try. Got an error code with no direction on how to fix the code... Finally found it by going through each form. No telephone support. No answer found on the forum. The program did not seem to work well with Mac this year. I spent more time trying to get the program to finalize my returns than I did entering the information for my return. Also took 3 tries before it would pull in Itsdeductible information. I have always used its deductible and had no problems.
