I started using Turbo Tax when it was Mac InTax. It has always been user-friendly and very helpful when I've had questions about various topics. I choose to do my taxes on my laptop and save my returns to a flash drive, rather than doing my taxes online. I have done so for years, and I guess I always will. I have recommended Turbo Tax to friends and relatives, most of whom have started using it for their taxes, as well.

Does normal tax forms well but the program has a terrible time with K-1 forms that have odd entries. The past few years I have had to file by mail because I was not able to find and fix errors. I go round and round in endless loops that never go away all in the attempt to to find a meaningless error. Why can't the program direct me to the page and line that needs correcting?

Used TurboTax for years doing my taxes; this is the first time I'm using it for 1099-Q regarding 529 College Savings Plan distributions. Maybe a little more clarity is needed here...it seems to imply that part of the distribution is taxable but based on my calculations & other research, it isn't.

I have used TurboTax for many years, with good results. Now we are retired with no more investment income or rental properties. The last 2 years our situation has resulted in our taking the standard deduction. I'm sorry to have to stop using TurboTax Premiere, but it just makes sense to use your standard free option from here on out... Thanks for all the years you made sense of the tax filing process for us!!

I've used Turbo Tax for years and have never had a problem. As far as I know, until recently, the returns have been accurate (I've never been audited). For the past two tax years, I've been notified of an error from the state of MD, luckily to my benefit. This year I noticed that a lot of information necessary to complete the filings was not covered by Turbo Tax. I wish I had noticed earlier, or I would not have paid to efile through TT. Certainly if there are errors again, we will have a conversation. This will also be the deciding factor in whether I will continue to use this software. If the state program isn't accurate and I have to pay to e-file, I may as well do it on the state's website for free.

Easy enough to use, some ambiguity between screens. Pop up help is good but should appear in a side bar listed of a layover window. Small hick-up when starting new return, there didn't seem to be any direction on wether to import a previous return or start new data input. The only thing that gets me every year, and I only come back because I feel I'm locked into their program, is that you pay a pretty fair amount to get the program and then they charge you again at the end to e-file your state taxes. Why not incorporate that into the initial cost? By the time you are ready to pay this you have missed adding the e-file cost deduction in the body of the work. Thank you for the opportunity to evaluate this software.

Software is very easy to use and pretty intuitive. Like that you can import information on your investments. Step by step guide takes you through everything so you don't miss deductions you qualify for. Can print off files when you're done for complete records. Review and audit risk measurement offers added comfort. Audit protection available for a reasonable cost when you're done. State taxes easy to complete since software transfers information from your federal return. Well worth the cost in terms of time saved.

During the filing process YOU ASK use the same Bank Account as last year? and INSTEAD of actually getting that account from last year's filing YOU ask that I supply the same information over again and to really tick we off you ask the EXACT same question for filing my state tax return and I have to refill the info ALL over again. do you like to waste people's time?

My wife and I have used Turbo Tax every year for many, many years, but only for our federal income tax returns. This year we moved to South Carolina and we had to file our state income tax return for the first time. The additional filing process was easy with Turbo Tax. We are very pleased and we got our taxes filed early!

My only issue was one that was not Turbotax's issue. Forms were rejected due to EIN did not match IRS records. This is my son's return and I usually do his for him. My place of business gives two envelopes with W2s. That is the way they have always done that. So... when my son had two copies of W2s I thought nothing of it, until his returns were rejected due to EIN not matching. It took me 3 times then thought to look at the envelopes they came in date the date sent and discovered that they were 3 days apart and the second one was a correction. I have submitted the returns again and am waiting for the acceptance email. (wish me luck). The best part about this was the way Turbotax worked was a no hassle over paying again for the efile and that Turbotax did not complete the transaction (efile payment) until the returns were filed and accepted. Thank You Turbotax for being so patient with me. I have never had errors in W2 forms until this year. Dave
