When reviewing my returns, I got an error message that said (roughly): Must Enter Total Interest And that was all. It didn't identify the form, and when I went over the forms to find it, I couldn't. The other problem I encountered was in entering data from my K-1 forms. Your software was only minimally helpful. You need to improve it. Maybe next year I will try some other software.

When you earn income partially in one state and partially another state, Turbo Tax will make you pay taxes in both states for certain types of income earned in the other state. You need to go into the tax forms to fix the problem. This is the last time I used Turbo Tax.

It would be very helpful if you were clear in your promos about which forms and schedules are available in which version of Turbo Tax. I had to take back the one that I bought originally and exchange for the version I needed. I read every thing that you release on your website. It is maddeningly confusing. I don't whether this is by design to mislead purchasers or an inability to write clear prose.

Everything was faster and easier this year filling my 2017 Tax Returns. The only issue was that the Premier version of the software (which I used) did not ask me about rental properties, so I had to manually go back and launch that section. This year's version also did not distinguish between church donations, and other charitable donations, so that threw me for a loop. But still, this year, I completed my tax return in the least amount of time yet.

Had a particularly complicated filing this year with stock sales including both short term and capital gains as well as a pension rollover and was able to manuver through all areas with easily understandable and logical guidance provided by turbotax without spending much more time that I usually do preparing the taxes for simpler years.

The process is a simple overall system and it helps if you force yourself to organize all of your tax related documents from the first day of the year into the same sections that exist in Turbo Tax, "Income" and "Deductions" and this will speed things tremendously.

I am not happy that for the 2018 tax return software TurboTax will require a minimum of OS Sierra on Macs in order for it to run. My computer will not run Sierra, so I would either need to buy a new computer or look for an alternative software. I will more than likely opt for the latter.

Generally a very easy to use program and ability to follow data flow. But still has some major bugs. Submitted questions and responses were work arounds that didn't fix the problem. Had to go to forms and do manually. NOT what I paid for. Spurious S-Corp kept showing up, even after deleting the errant worksheet. TT does NOT know how to handle self-employment health care premiums bought through an exchange. The 1095-A update bug is ridiculous. Can't even sufficiently do the manual workaround.

I am blown away by how easy TT makes completing my taxes. Each year I have something unique but each year I am able to figure this out with the installed version. I suspect CDs will not be available soon. I am a little concern about this because my past experience of the online version was that their was slight differences and I could not navigate to the destination i was looking for like I can with the CD version.

TurboTax has been a great option from its inception into the software marketingplace. You'll never be able to produce a product that satifies everyone, but this is as close as it gets. As the saying goes, it's difficult to get to #1, it's even more difficult to say #1 unless you truly are the Champ. TurboTax is the Champ !
