Bolstered the bucks back (BBBB)

did not find every single entry box with a drop down back-up sheet to show supporting calculations and notes and data --- There also must be a way to enter a new row from last years data on this back-up supporting data sheet at purchase - Need to make it more clear that there is a "download" version which is different then "simple lets get started " version ...when you are a return user and desire your info to transfer

Easy or Complex - THIS IS IT!

I've been using TT for 8 years now, and wonder why I didn't do so before. My taxes are medium-complexity, nothing over the top...but TT walks me through every possible eventuality, every scenario and gets me the refund. Even this year when I owed on the state return (first time in more than 10 years), it looked for a multitude of ways to minimize my payment. LOVE IT!

Stuff didn't Xfer from previous year

I'm pretty sure that things that transferred from previous years' returns in the past did not do so this year. I had a holding in a portfolio that had foreign taxes taken out. I had to manually search through data that I had downloaded to TT that, had been automatically entered in previous years. I also noticed that when I reviewed some retirement accounts with RMDs that I had entered the RMD flag was removed after I reviewed them. I checked this several times.

Turbo Tax for Mac is junk

I guess the PC version works fairly well. However I have been using the MAC version. I save the final return and it shows saved but the next time I try to open the “Saved” return it does not open. And the next time I buy a new Turbo Tax it cannot import last years info. PLUS when you try to fix errors caused by NOT having last year. Unlike the PC version you cannot just click “VIEW” and go to the form and enter the correct numbers. Next year I am going to get the PC version. I am really Really over this stupid Mac version. It literally is a bad program.

Outstanding support but some software glitches

I have been using TurboTax for several years. Ran into Special Depreciation integration issues (software) between Federal and State. The customer support is outstanding though. The Rep was extremely professional and not rushing. Spent lot of time debugging and provided alternative solutions.

Your system is getting worse than before

While I understand that ID theft issue is important and you are trying to protect your customers. However, you make it too difficult to us to recover our existing account due to forgotten password. I have to create a new account in order to e-file; which I am very happy about for I have used my previous account for years and did not want to change it. The tax software itself too is not as user friendly as it used to be and I am a Turbo tax user for over 15 years!

I've been using TurboTax for years

PROS: * TurboTax has always had a great user interface (and I've been using the Deluxe and Premier versions for about 20-years and have been in Computer Science for 40-years) * It streamlines entry * It works well CONS: * Their State product is not as elegant as their Federal product. It lacks a comparison of current year entries to those of the previous year (this feature is in the Federal product). It also doesn't explain items as well. * Difference in versions (e.g., Deluxe, Premier, etc.) can be confusing * Expensive (price varies)

Still issues

Everything is great with the calculations and asking questions about details that I never thought of. But there is still the ongoing issue of (as reported in years past), if there are transferred supporting details for an entry and you're not aware of them or remember them and you start entering data it will bring up the list of supporting details from the previous year and the first line is over-written and there is no way to recover it. There should be a flag or some kind of indicator that there are supporting details for the data field that you're about to enter data into.

Good program, easy to use

Good program and good value overall. Some suggestions for the programmers: - Combine some of the screens, e.g. enable listing info for several charities or several related income sources on one screen instead of having multiple data entry pages for each one - Allow a screen to be edited without triggering a walk-through of a whole series of subsequent screens - Provide for 2-sided printing in such a way that the front and back of a form appear on the same sheet, instead of mixing forms and even mixing state and federal returns on the same sheet

Excellent program, but a tip

Switching between Easy Step and Forms is easy on Federal taxes. Having used Turbo Tax for decades, it is nice to have the consistency of the process. This could be easier on state taxes, instead of having to run all the way thru Easy Step again if you go back to it. On one federal form, I spent ages trying to figure out a way to skip entering info that was already reported through investment downloaded info, and finally saw a Note saying enter 0 instead. Highlighting the Note in color would make it easier to notice. Otherwise, good process.
