I use a Mac desktop. I have used TurboTax for years & been delighted with it... until now. I had input ALL my charitable contributions into ItsDeductible and, went I tried to import it to TurboTax, it repeatedly said there was an internet issue. I'd checked and knew there wasn't a problem on my end. I called TurboTax and was told there was a glitch on their end and they couldn't help me. I had to RE-input all of my charitable contributions into TurboTax! It took hours. Bummer. Hope it's fixed by next year or I'll have to use different tax software.

I have two major concerns: 1) The work-flow through the program has never been stellar, but it's getting worse instead of better. There were instances when hitting "back" does not go back to where you came from; other times the program did/or/did not remove the data that was entered on the screens I was backing out of -- it was not clear what was happening to the data. I finally decided to abandon my first return, and start 'from scratch' so ensure that the data I entered was correct the first time and would not need to be removed or edited. (2) There are many complex and unclear places in the tax code. Usually a "more info" button offers helpful definitions or IRS forms to read. However, some places the help is missing altogether. Here are examples: -- Adjust Investment Income -- Enter other AMT Adjustments -- "CA Adjustments" Thanks for taking the time to read this input. I've used TurboTax for 10+ years, and I'd like to be able to keep using the program.

I'm not sure why, but the program forgot to ask me about my State Tax Input. I had to go back and Re-enter by selecting State Tax. I think it might be related to leaving a section to correct an error (in this case a W2 that I should have not started since it was a 1099 R Retirement Statement). But, I don't know since when I came back I didn't note where the program left me.

Everything was very simple until I get to a 1099 Misc that the company I retired from files to report a benefit earned from them when I worked there. It is a very small amount to pay a percentage of long term care insurance. I just keep changing the answers to the questions until I get it to come out like regular income, taxable, and no additional forms required.

My only issue was one that was not Turbotax's issue. Forms were rejected due to EIN did not match IRS records. This is my son's return and I usually do his for him. My place of business gives two envelopes with W2s. That is the way they have always done that. So... when my son had two copies of W2s I thought nothing of it, until his returns were rejected due to EIN not matching. It took me 3 times then thought to look at the envelopes they came in date the date sent and discovered that they were 3 days apart and the second one was a correction. I have submitted the returns again and am waiting for the acceptance email. (wish me luck). The best part about this was the way Turbotax worked was a no hassle over paying again for the efile and that Turbotax did not complete the transaction (efile payment) until the returns were filed and accepted. Thank You Turbotax for being so patient with me. I have never had errors in W2 forms until this year. Dave

I have used TurboTax for several years for various family members. I am a licensed CPA, but I don't work with taxes in my current career. However, I know enough about taxes to appreciate this program - easy to use, helpful features such as carrying forward prior year information (including depreciation!), and knowing that the program is looking for updates every time you open TurboTax. I feel confident when I file returns with TurboTax.

I used the premier copy and it gave me a choice of which way I wanted to flow through the program. This allows you to decide whether you want to be asked every question or you pick the topics to work on. It flowed seamlessly for me. I will continue to use it for my tax return program. Thank you.

I love the fact that turbo tax transfers last years information and just asks to verify if data is still correct. This saves times. Also like the fact that it double checks for errors or missed data. Like seeing comparison of last years numbers to current years numbers.

By and large your system is great but you have to shorten the time it takes to contact you and please save paper work and review time by allowing one form when filing jointly instead of splitting inputs on a tax payer and spouse form. Last comment applies to state only.Thank You!!!!

I have been using Turbo Tax for years, and this year was the first time that I have had any real issue. The program locked up just about every 5 minutes. as a result, it took a lot longer to get my taxes finished this year. It wasn't much fun doing everything two or three times. Good Luck
