When checking the box for Healthcare coverage for all year for both, the form 8965 shows partial coverage for a month. The hint on how to delete the form and start over was 2 years old - should have been fixed by now. After deleting the form 8965, the personal information from both of us needed to be entered again. Otherwise very easy to use.

Been using program for years. Carry forward feature very helpful. Managing and accessing forms could be better. Also, in instructions for entering gain/loss from stock sales, you should be warned that if you enter the summary, you'll have to mail in a detailed explanation. I only found this out after I did the former, and couldn't get the necessary form from you.

It kept trying to make a company into rental property then a royalty. Dealing with a rollover Keogh had to become a pension because Keogh was not addressed It had a hard time separating different types of 1099R. Should had two categories up front taxable and non taxable. The rollover portion should have NOT been included in monies gained rather washed as a rollover. WORST OF ALL WAS CLAIMING FOREIGN TAX CREDIT TWO HOURS WITH NOT A SINGLE CLEAR WAY TO ENTER THE CREDIT. Finally, just opened forms and plugged in numbers

TurboTax works, mostly because Intuit lobbied congress so that filing taxes was so inconvenient that TurboTax was one of the few solutions to the problem. They also find ways to make you pay for free services that were supposed to be the compromise to their iron-grip on tax filing. All-in-all, Intuit's software designers do a great job but their lobbyists do better.

I have used TT Premier for many years and saved $$$$ not having to hire an accountant. Also, gives me an understanding of what affects my bottom-line. The only problem I had in doing my taxes was finding where to itemize costs associated with volunteer service that was not mileage, ie, cost of maintaining professional license in order to volunteer. I am retired.

I liked the entire program and how completing my return for both the Federal and State were all done in one sitting. I did have all of my input ready, which helped greatly. I like the ability to quit when I want to and the system allows me to pick up right where I left off. The process is very logical and allows me to review each section in detail or or just go to the ones that I want to complete. The download feature from various financial institutions is really slick and helpful. All in all, I am very satisfied and happy with Turbo Tax.

It is amazing how many dead ends this program can take you down before dropping the ball. The most recent was trying to efile my return. It said all was well and then took about a half hour trying to charge me for a state efile. Then after it charged my credit card and I clicked on "transmit" it decided that my federal return was not eligible to efile and then that the state returns could not be efiled without the Federal. Don't know if it will be worth the hours it will take to try to get my money back.

I have used turbo tax for 18 years and love the software. It's easy to use, and guides you through all the information you need to calculate your federal and state return. I will continue to use Turbo Tax in the future. My only issue is that it took me multiple (8 or 9) attempts to process my payment for e-filing my state return. From multiple logon issues, to updating my account at least 3 times, to entering my credit card info 3 times, very frustrating. Please make the payment process easier!

When amending the Federal return, Turbo Tax amends all the schedules that are impacted by the change(s). It also amends the State return automatically. Turbo Tax Premier imports all my investment information (which is voluminous) and prepares the capital loss and gain schedules. That is one of the main reasons I use Turbo Tax

I have been filing my returns using TurboTax for a couple of years now and it has given me a really good understanding of the tax rules. The interface is very natural and guides you through the steps that really help you make sense of it all in a very linear way. It helped me catch mistakes in an older return that was done by a pro. However, sometimes the information provided is a bit cryptic, or too technical but that maybe inherent in the tax law.
