Been using this for years. I see an improvement every year. I sometimes think I should have a tax accountant do it because I'm not sure if I am covering everything. Maybe next year with the new Tax reform I will go that way. Need to read more on what the this new policy will do to me.

The program locked up and would not accept any commands, including back or shut down. I had to restart my computer at least fifty times to complete it. What should have taken two hours took twelve. My computer uses windows 8 but has plenty of memory. It should have handled it easily.

I am not sure why but every year I feel like turbo tax is getting harder and harder to use. I have been using it for over 20 years and I feel like it is getting harder and harder to use, the step by step guidance was very easy to understand in the past but getting harder to follow now. Maybe it is my tax situation that is changing but not so sure that this the reason.

I've been using TurboTax for many years, and value the desktop version because I am able to review the forms before submitting my return. The year to year comparison is so helpful, and the support features are two of the reasons why I continue to be a TurboTax fan. This year I switched from a PC to a Mac, and the transition, including transferring over my last year's tax data, was seamless.

I've used Turbo Tax for a couple of decades and it does look & feel like an old friend. However, unlike an old friend, each new iteration acts like it has forgotten what I've been telling it for years. While I appreciate the opportunity to review/update entries along the way, some of the questions feel like starting from scratch. Why doesn't the software know that Florida has no state income tax? I am REPEATEDLY having to decline to work on my "state tax return". My primary complaint with the software is the inability to print directly from the screen. My list of donations, for instance, is what I want...not 30 or 40 pages, each with one charity listed. Once I have entered all deductibles, I would like to print that list...even if I elect to use the standard deduction. I know that this is not the first time I have made these observations known, but nothing has come of my effort to improve the tax payer experience. Please acknowledge, in some way, my concerns both as a long term user and as an Intuit stockholder.

I've used TurboTax ever since Intuit started selling the product. I used Parson's in the 90's and it was either acquired by Intuit or became Intuit. I have TurboTax files since 2004 on my computer. The first couple of years I relied on the interview process, but then started selecting the forms manually so the filing process would go faster. I like the way that TurboTax does the last check before filing electronically. It's saved me from quite a few errors. I always get my refund in a minimal amount of time. Last year I think was 2 to 3 weeks for federal. This year I completed my taxes on February 2, but waited until the 8th before filing because I wanted to wait for any potential delinquent tax forms in the mail. I'm done until next year.

The product is great as usual but it would be nice if it could be made better. The 1099-B stock list still looks archaic. The list could be presented in a better (such as a grid) format where more columns are presented (or selectable). Also, it would be great if the columns could be made sortable. I also did not find any way (perhaps it wasn't intuitive :) ) to search the list.

Just filed. Had to call customer support because of an error message. They were very patient and diligently looked for an answer. I had made a mistake entering the employer EIN (put a space in front of the number which I could not see). Once I found this, the file was transmitted without problem.

Owned a small portion of an LP with indication of "various" under the foreign investment area. Due to the small investment this area was all zeroes but as a "various" notation the program demanded a breakdown of the income and taxes. As all that was noted were zero dollars the program does not accept this as final. Still shows an error on the lines.

I get a 1099 MISC from a company, it does have a Federal ID #. Box 7 has the amount they gave me. My problem is all the questions you ask afterwards. I am a Health Care Home AID. I don't have a expenses, my patient is in the same apartment complex that I live in. All the questions you asked I had to guess. I know I have to pay taxes for the income, but all the other stuff you asked I had a hard time with. I feel if you ask a question after you enter in the amount in box 7. Do you have any expenses? And you say know you are done. The company that sends me the 1099 MISC use to send me a W2. They stopped 3 years ago and leave it up to me.
