This year we have gone thru several weeks, heatwaves and all. I am so glad i bought this. IT makes it so much easier to sleep at night. The only con I can say about it is that if i turn it down below 6 on the temperature dial it doesn't seem like its blowing cool air. Seems like all its doing is pulling outside air and removing the humidity but not cooling it. Other than that its GREAT!!!

The output of cold air is fairly impressive considering the size of the unit itself. Overall, I am very happy with my new ac unit!

I have it in my bedroom and it keeps it cold and comfortable in 100 degree weather and enable me to turn up the central A/C to save on my monthly bill.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this AC a few months ago for a very small room. If it's not set at the highest setting it will not cool. It doesn't specify in the instructions if the AC needs to drain or where. It is installed with a slight tilt.

The room is about 10 x 12 and is always sweltering in the Oklahoma heat. This room air conditioner was exactly what was needed. It was easy to install and it was small enough to fit the little window in the room yet puts out plenty of cold air. I have it set on 5 and Hi and the room is very comfortable now. Thanks to this Frigidaire FFRA0511R1 I no longer have to sweat buckets to do the laundry. Thanks Frigidaire.

For awhile I had the hallway closed off to the other rooms to see how well it did, but now I keep the hall open, set up a fan and it has no problem keeping the other rooms cool also. Not to mention it's nice and quiet! My only complaint is that I hadn't bought it sooner!
