Shipping was quick 4 days from ordering to received. Easy installation with everything needed in the box. Seems to cool rather well, I bought 2, 1 for each small bedroom which they are roughly 12 x 12. I installed the first one and turned it on and went to install the second one, which took about 20 minutes, when I went back to the first bedroom the temp had dropped from 82 to 73. They are a little on the noisy side considering that they are smaller units, But I figure I can either deal with a little noise or a lot of heat

I only have this in our bedroom which is perfect for our small window. Its light to lift my husband said. And the cord was ling enough to get plugged into a socket without an extension cord. And it pushes good cold air on the hot days. I am happy with this purchase.

This this AC unit is awesome. I just finished installing it. I'm so glad that I went with this unit I was going to go with GE or a Artic King but after checking the reviews I saw that most of the reviews were done from a promotions so even though this unit is not as up to date, it doesn't come with the remote control so it's manual. Once I did some research of my own I saw that Frigidaire was on the top of a lot of the list for their dependability and quality. So okay I got to get up and manually turn it off and on no remote no biggie. The most important thing to me is the fact that once I ran the AC not even a half an hour my room was already cold. I actually had to turn it down from low high to low cool medium and now it's comfortable so I'm extremely pleased with it it's very compact it was easy to install so far so good. The best choice for my budget so great quality and great value.

Very pleased with purchase so far. Arrived in a timely manner. My 16 year old son and I installed it together and probably took 30 minutes at the most. Very powerful for it's size. Cooled entire house within a hour. I use it to help with my aging hvac unit. My hvac unit does not run as much when using together and keeps my 1200 square foot house cool. I picked this unit out being familiar with the Frigidaire brand. Again very pleased.

Pleasantly surprised with how well this works in my room. It gets cold! It cool the whole room in about 10 minutes. My room is about 15l×10w×8h; length×width×height.

The 5,000 BTU Window Room Air Conditioner is super powerful really does wonders for my 1,000 sqrft place. This machine cools the whole living room and dining area kitchen included for sure. I love it!

If you are looking to cool down a small to medium room this works great! It is a little noisy kind of sounds like you have a fan going on but overall it is not bad at all. I wish it could be controlled more in temperature vs. low cool, high cool options. Extremely easy to set up.

This is a replacement for an old GE portable window AC at 5000 BTU. It was not easy to put in the Alside windows and sealing around it took some creativity but I got it in there. It does not cool as well as the old GE. the fan doesn't blow as hard as the old GE, The way it is made Styrofoam is the only wall between the outside and the inside. You can see light trough it. I can only guess what things will be like in two years. It is light weight compared to the old GE. It has simple front controls no remote. The power cord is a fair length and a fuse is in the plug assembly. Like all 5000 BTU AC units, it struggles with tempratures over 88 degrees and high humidity. Overall it is a nice AC unit for a bed room or any single room. Do not expect it to do more than one room (25'x25' maybe). Do not expect much cooling in tempratures over 88 degrees. It will dehumidify but not as well as my old GE. Some of you may want to look at an AC unit 8000 BTU or higher using 220VAC. those Frigidaire units might be what you want for your needs.

I live in a small, 2 bedroom "English basement" apartment that stays relatively cool through the humid, summer months of New England. The only exception being that my bedroom receives sun from around 10 AM to sunset, which without means to move air, can quickly turn the 12'x12' space into a hot box. Yes, I just might be a ghost. I purchased this budget AC for that room, and so far, it has almost lived up to my expectations, even though I have had to couple it with a cheap, Galaxy box fan in order to move air more efficiently. Right after installation, the air being pushed by this AC was really cold, but then again, it was also really hot outside. When running it while the outside temperatures were cooler (as I favor winter temps to summer), the AC seems to run a little warmer (but it still pulls moisture which is A ). Initially, this discrepancy had me worried that the coolant had expired, but after researching a bit, what is more likely is that the AC, even though the unit itself is manual, has an internal thermostat for self-preservation. Now, I have had this unit for over a month, and can say that on really hot days, and if I keep my bedroom door open, this tiny AC will actually cool down my entire apartment, but it needs to be running for a minimum of 2 hours. If you purchase this AC, be aware (as the picture shows) that there is a gap at the bottom. I would recommend that you set the unit on a bit of foam strip (provided inside of the crate) in order to increase efficiency. If you have packing tape and don't expect anyone to sit on your AC when you're using it, you don't need to drill holes into your windows. Just tape (with packing tape) the side panels to the sill on all four sides and you'll be as right as rain. It'll also make removal of the unit a whole lot easier. 3 out of 5 = 1 star off because I wish it would get colder than 54 degrees in my room (I know I'm crazy, but I don't care), and 1 star off because there is a weird design flaw that defies normal window construction standards.

I bought this Ac unit thinking that Frigidaire was a awesome brand and I was very wrong. Im not sure if I just got a bad unit or ? I had the unit in my window for 3 days and took it out and sent it back. I hope if you choose to buy this you have better luck than I did.
