I bought this unit this year August and by end of September it was not blowing out cool air. Not sure if it's because it's the mechanical type because my other Frigidaire units last years! I bought it for my son's dorm and they only allowed 5000 BTU units.

This was purchased to replace the same Fridgidaire 5000 btu A/C. Old one was having motor issues. The newly purchased replacement has an exceedingly loud fan and compressor. which was not an issue with our previous one. Having to complete the assembly is a major annoyance as well.
