Not worth the price

While I love my k-cups, knowing how cheap it is to get Swiss Miss in the market and knowing how easy it is to use a water-only option on the Keurig, I don't see a rational reason for spending so much on this particular product. Swiss Miss is known to be reasonable in price for families in their regular format. The option for a k-cup just seems an odd choice (which I don't see as practical) when you can just spent less than half the amount for the same product if one uses the hot water option as one would do for tea.

I'M HOOKED

I was not sure how it was going to taste, but once I tried it, I was hooked. You don't need to add any sugar. It is already sweetened to perfection. The only thing is that all of the mix don't come out. so, I am going to try and shake it up to see if it works. But, I opened the container and spooned the rest in my cup, stir it with a spoon, and VOILA, the taste gets richer.

We love it!

Me and my family love these! My other hot cocoa maker was hard to clean and really use well. It's so nice to have individual cups so if you want some hot cocoa, well, you get a cup and not a huge amount that goes to waste. We like the taste of it, we use the small cup setting twice with a new hot cocoa cup so it doesn't come out watery. For us it doesn't come out watery that way. Give it a try and see for yourself!

Tastes like artificial sweetener

I didn't read the ingredients list before using one of these cups - big mistake. When I took the very first sip I could immediately tell there was artificial sweetener in it. I looked at the box and sure enough, it contains sucralose (aka Splenda). I know that some people don't mind them, but I've never been able to stand the taste of artificial sweeteners, they have a gross chemical taste to me. I'm disappointed to see that all the other brands of hot chocolate k-cups also contain sucralose, since the variety of beverages available was one of the reasons I wanted a Keurig. Looks like I'll be going back to packets for hot chocolate.

NOT what it appears to be!

I ordered Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa K-Cups assuming it was a normal, decent product containing real sugar and real cocoa. Not until after I drank it and got terrible stomach pains and a horrid chemical aftertaste did I go back to look at the ingredients and I found ARTIFICIAL SWEETENER!! Yes, I should have read the ingredients before purchasing but I (wrongly) assumed that "Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa" was just that! There were NO warnings on the label or description that this was NOT a real food product and contained chemical, synthetic, artificial sweetener. VERY disappointed and stuck with a rather expensive box of toxic substance that makes me very ill.

Diet Product without the Warning

Blech! The product completely fails to disclose that it is sweatened with artificial sweetener! This is not tollerable. I had to check several times to confirm that I was not missing a nasty chemical ingredient. Stick to the old fashioned stovetop method or a microwave and use real coco mix

Worst hot cocoa I've ever tasted.

I would give this negative 5 stars if the website allowed. This is terrible hot cocoa. It tastes like saccharine, but there's no actual saccharine in it. It tastes like what American chocolate must taste like to Europeans. If you ever wondered that, try this. Wait, don't, this is an awful beverage. It certainly tastes nothing like the Swiss Miss we used to make as kids, with hot milk. I'm not kidding when I say it has a saccharine taste, and in not sure how they pulled that off with only corn syrup (which is the first ingredient) and sugar (which is the second). I recommend buying the Cafe Expression hot cocoa...It tastes so much better. I'm just going to throw away the rest of this nastiness.

Great Stuff!!

Got one of these cups in a variety pack and my goodness was it good! I love the swissmiss hot cocoa packets and honestly this tastes just as good if not better than those! The only con I might be able to think of is that it is pretty sweet for those who don't have a strong sweet tooth, but after all if is hot cocoa. Loved it and already ordered me a box coming soon!

Needs some work

I purchased these on a whim, just to see if they were any good. The flavor wasn't bad, there just wasn't enough of it! Even brewing the K-cup with the 6 oz. setting left me with a cup of watered down hot cocoa. The problem I saw was that a good amount of the chocolate powder did not dissolve and was left in the k-cup after brewing. If Swiss Miss would add a little more chocolate to the mix, and then make sure the mix is completely dissolvable, this wouldn't be bad.

Get what you pay for (if it's free!)

There is a Keurig in the breakroom at my new job. With no stovetop to make real hot drinks and cold Maine weather setting in quickly, I couldn't resist trying it out. I am personally not a fan of the unnecessary waste K-cups produce, but I never knew their products were also gross! Why put artificial sweetener in a perfectly good cup of hot cocoa? Ick. I'm bringing my own cocoa and electric kettle from now on.
