Artificial Sweetener

I had the same issue as many others that the pods cause an error in the machine, and it takes multiple tries for a successful brew. I was willing to overlook this. However, after taking a sip of this cocoa, I was greeted with that disgusting hallmark aftertaste of artificial sugar. BLECH. It isn't even clearly labeled as such, something I am experiencing with more and more products lately. From aspartame to stevia... it's all vile, and I would appreciate if the packages were clearly labeled.

Tastes like artificial sweetener

I didn't read the ingredients list before using one of these cups - big mistake. When I took the very first sip I could immediately tell there was artificial sweetener in it. I looked at the box and sure enough, it contains sucralose (aka Splenda). I know that some people don't mind them, but I've never been able to stand the taste of artificial sweeteners, they have a gross chemical taste to me. I'm disappointed to see that all the other brands of hot chocolate k-cups also contain sucralose, since the variety of beverages available was one of the reasons I wanted a Keurig. Looks like I'll be going back to packets for hot chocolate.

ugh

I received 1 free k-cup of this with my new machine and ugh this is gross. It's got hydrogenated oils, corn syrup, and TWO artificial sweeteners in it and boy can you taste it all. It leaves a funky after taste in your mouth plus I had to add "real milk" to make it drinkable. I ended up giving up when my heart started racing from the fake sugar. Not good and I don't recommend it.

Second order

I can drink this using cup/saucer size water and it holds me over from having a snack. Or, I can drink this instead of eating fattening dessert. I've actually lost 2 pounds since substituting a cup of this for a bowl of ice cream or other dessert.(2 weeks)

Love this machine

I just bought mine today and as soon as I got home made me a cup of hot chocolate. It was delicious seems I do not drink coffee. I have always wanted one of these and now I can sit and watch the winter weather out my window while having my favorite cup of hot chocolate with a little half and half to make it creamier. I sure didn't go wrong buying this. Highly recommended.

Disgusting

I wasn't expecting perfect but was expecting good. I was so disappointed! I got brown water. I set at 6 oz on the hot cocoa setting on my 2.0 brewer. The brew went fine but it tastes like muddy water at best. Don't waste $$ if you like a rich chocolate taste. If I have to add something to improve the taste then I consider this a waste of money.

Contains Artificial Sweeteners

This product contains artificial sweeteners (sucralos/Splenda, and acesulfame potassium) in addition to sugar and corn syrup. Since the product contains sugars it cannot be labeled sugar-free. However, for those with allergies to artificial sweeteners the only labeling which indicates there are artificial sweeteners is the small-print ingredients list on the side of the box. User beware.

Get what you pay for (if it's free!)

There is a Keurig in the breakroom at my new job. With no stovetop to make real hot drinks and cold Maine weather setting in quickly, I couldn't resist trying it out. I am personally not a fan of the unnecessary waste K-cups produce, but I never knew their products were also gross! Why put artificial sweetener in a perfectly good cup of hot cocoa? Ick. I'm bringing my own cocoa and electric kettle from now on.

Best if some milk added

Okay, here's the scoop with Swiss Miss K-cups. You have to brew them at the 12 or 16 oz level, if you don't, some of the cocoa stays in the bottom of the cup. I usually take out the k-cup and tap on the rim of my cup before I discard. I also add a small amount of milk to add richness. I like it better than the other offerings. I'll buy it again, but you have to remember to finesse it a bit...

Shake the k-cup

My Husband is on a hot chocolate kick to replace some of his coffee at home. Before putting in my next order I decided to read some of the reviews and drink some of it myself. Some people said all of it didn't come out of the k-cup. You need to shake them first. All of my mix was used. I opened the cup after brewing to check. I like hot chocolate but don't drink it often because of the calories. For an occasional indulgence at only 60 calories this tasted good. I added a tablespoon of sugar free creamer, so mine ended up at 75 calories but actually it wasn't necessary. This k-cup had plenty of chocolate flavor and with no mess and instant gratification.
