A nice treat and cooked easily in the Microwave

Opened and tried these for the first time last night. Sadly you must cook the entire package of the 2-lb once opened. Did not use the sauce as suspected it to have too much sugars (13g). These were very good in taste and texture, not sure why so many complaints on fatty or grizzle/chewy texture. But that is the problem with most BBQ and with the volume they did to make this product. I would buy it again!

Great if you like fat!

We smoke brisket regularly but wanted to try these to see what we might be missing. Verdict...NOTHING. Brisket tends to be a fatty piece of beef, often with a thick vein of fat running through the middle. Since it is not on the exterior you have to cook it slow and long to partially "melt" the fat throughout the meat. The pkg. we got must have missed that part of the process. Large chunks of the meat were nothing but fat with a very thin layer of meat sandwiching it. Also, the "burnt" part was missing (the area that is exposed to the most smoke and heat resulting in a black appearance.) Will be returning it!

Pretty darn good!

I didn't cook these per the package directions. I cooked them on the stove top in the included barbecue sauce. I felt they tasted smoky with just a hint of brown sugar. I do feel there was too much salt for my taste. Do not let that deter you, I think most food has too much salt. I did not detect any of the coffee rub. After these cooled down they were too hard too eat. So with that said, leftovers are probably not happening. We had a few pieces left over we tossed to the dogs. A package was plenty for two people. I would buy these; Members Mark Kansas City Style Seasoned Brisket Burnt Ends again and have already recommended them to my Uncle who enjoys BBQ as much as I do. I received this product as part of a free sample program.

Not bad for a quick easy burnt end meal!

I recieved this product as part of a free sample program. I used the air fryer directions to prepare these, and pretty good burnt ends in a matter of minutes. While these do not compete with fresh burnt ends made by a someone who does this on a regular basis, they were still very tasty. The air fryer method produced pieces with a nice outer crunch but a soft interior. Perfect for a quick meal!

SO TOUGH AND DRY EVEN INSTA-POT COULDN'T RESCUE!

Was excited to try this, but not a happy experience. Good flavor but TOUGH AND DRY' Neither of us ate much, and lots was left. Tried to fix them. Two hours in my INSTA-POT on Pressure Cooker setting helped a little but STILL dry! $19.98 and having to play magician to made them chewable - save you money.

Quick dinner

These were good, but not fantastic. They were great for making something in a hurry. I made them per the recommended cooking directions (microwave). They took a little longer than suggested. I did like how the bbq sauce comes separate so you can get the right amount. The beef is tender and the sauce had the right amount of spicy for me and my family. I received this product as part of a free sample program.

Very Disappointed

I have been looking at these for weeks and finally I couldn't resist any longer. It was time to let go of nearly 25 bucks for a true Kansas City taste experience (at least according to the packaging). What a disappointment! Some chunks were so tough it was like eating rubber. Maybe they somehow escaped the ten-hour pit smoking. Some chunks were actually tender and some chunks were nothing but fat that had to be spitted out. The sauce had a peculiar taste that I really cannot describe. It was not what I expect "barbeque" to taste like. This was a disappointment to say the least. For a couple of dollars more I could have bought two of the Member's Mark Extra Meaty Baby Back Pork Ribs. Now that is what I call a 5-star meat product. In the meantime I am going to see if I can get a refund on the uneaten "stuff".

I received this product as part of a free sample program and I am so happy that I did! These burnt ends are absolutely delicious. They exceeded my expectations and I will buy them again. There are several different qualities that I like about this barbeque: First, there is a generous helping of beef. My husband and I were able to make sandwiches and still had leftovers for the next day. Second, the seasoning is perfection. We tried the beef with and without the provided sauce and it was delicious both ways. In fact, I might recommend going easy on the sauce so you can capture all the flavors. Third, it is easy to prepare and reheat. Lastly, and most importantly, the slow cook method is so good. The meat is very tender and savory! Give it a try, I think you will be surprised.

taste great but microwave instructions are way off

Figured I'd try these when they were on sale and they were fantastic - didn't even need the sauce. Just the right amount of smoke and unbelievable flavor. The only problem was the microwave instructions: 2-3 minutes was not even close - still had a frozen block. After the 3 minutes, I did another minute, broke some bits off then repeated until the pieces were all separated.

pretty good

Disclaimer: I received this product from a free sample program. This was easy to make. Like most Kansas City Barbecue items, these were sweet. I like that the sauce comes on the side because you cans adjust the amount of sweetness you want your meat to have. For the most part, the meat was tender. But every once in a while, I'd get a piece of meat that was tough. I also found it to be a little bit too salty. I would buy it again for weeknight meals, but I would skip it for big events (Super Bowl, July 4th, etc.)
