Great TV

I got a little scared because of some of the reviews, but I have no regrets on this purchase. Upgraded with this one from the Vizio E Series 55". I use this tv in tandem with my Apple TV and it works great. The picture quality is good, the dimming zones are great and the price was right!

Color , deep blacks, calibration

Vizio has a different approach to their color and contrast than other companies. Colors are extremely vibrant sharp excellent black contrast. Operating system slow in relation to other manufacturers. Being nitpicky as System works as required. Wi-Fi pick up a bit weak. Speakers fair. Even with equalizer difficult to distinguish voices in movies.Would purchase again.

Great Features

We bought this TV when our TV went out. Our old TV was a basic plasma. This TV is BIG and Bright! It has numerous features including FREE internet channels. When you first turn it on and it starts up, it has a homepage look similar to Netflix, with Streaming & Movie apps to select. This TV is truly smart! We love it! WARNING: It is BIG and Bright, so if you have a small room, be prepared to light it up! It has true black and vibrant colors as advertised. It starts off a little confusing to get all the features and wifi connected, but it is not rocket science so you should figure it out without asking google. The Chromecast feature and Smartwatch button on the remote was so beneficial we actually disconnected our cable because with all the available FREE channels and movies we didn't need it. I would say there are well over 200 FREE channels and quite a few were on on our cable lineup. So we now get for free what we use to pay for! Overall a GREAT BUY for us!

Best Picture Ever!!!!

We purchased this Vizio 55" over a month ago. This new Vizio replaced one we purchase over nine years ago. We gave our son the old one as it still plays. The new one is a upgrade and well worth it. The sound is so good I no longer use a sound bar. I have always recommended Vizio and would push the M558-G1 as a great model.

TV Only Lasted 2 Years and Customer Service Stinks

I bought this TV in Sept of 2019 looking for a 4k TV that didn't break the bank. I was generally happy with it for 2 years until the LED Backlights started to fail. Obviously out of warranty, I tried to get some help from Customer Service with possible repair/fixes and was basically told to get a new TV and there was nothing they could do about it nor did they have any repair suggestions. I've been previously pretty happy with Vizio products but I will likely never by Vizio again

Great picture at the price

I bought this about a month ago and am generally quite pleased. With the 90 regions of brightness, the picture rivals much more expensive OLED televisions. The sound is very good but with my existing Vizio soundbar I can kick it up a notch when I need to. My only disappointments is Vizio's decision to be Apple centric, and the current lack of Disney + support. Why not make the TV DLNA compliant. I have several videos on a windows based server that I cannot access. Thankfully I can transfer the content to a thumb drive, but that just adds a step. Hopefully you will quickly resolve the lack of Disney + support. Casting to the TV works, but that doesn't produce the 4K picture that the app would produce.

Below the Normal Vizio Quality

I am a huge Vizio fan but not as happy with this recent purchase as I have been with my other purchases, including a 55" I currently own. The picture is clear but the color variations are always changing and not nearly as sharp as others. Additionally, the sound quality of this model is not that great. You literally have to have the volume at max to hear clearly. Definitely needs a sound bar. I've sent help questions via text to the support center to no avail.

Fantastic Picture Quality

I bought this 5-6 weeks ago and absolutely love the picture quality and bright, sharp colors this unit delivers. The unit is easy to install, set up and run and the number of built in apps is great.....always something to view. Do yourself a favor and get one whether or not you are in the market!

Not the Best

I bought this 8 mos ago and have not been totally satisfied. First, this is my second one. The first one was dead! right out of the box. The picture is great however the sound has a mind of it's own. Sometimes the sound just dies and then needs to be totally powered down (unplugged} before it will operate. Probably my last VIZIO.

Great picture quality/small annoyances

Bought this last fall and it has been great. The native UI for watching live tv is slightly buggy/unfriendly, so I stay away from it and just use my AppleTV. Another small annoyance, it does take time for the tv to wake up. In some instances I need to power down the external device and turn it back on for the tv to actually recognize that the source is available/ready.
