Almost great tv plagued with a big problem

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this tv about 3 years now and up until recently it was fine: quality picture, built in streaming, and did great with my Nintendo Switch. But then I got a PlayStation 5. More often then not, when I power up the PlayStation the tv tells me there's no signal from it. The only solution I've found is to reboot the tv, which leads me to believe the issue is with the tv. Worse yet, twice now I've had the tv turn off mid-game and force the PlayStation into standby mode, or just keep the game running with no picture. Again, I had to reboot the tv to fix it. Contacted Vizio support, they had me do a power reset which hasn't done anything to fix the issue. Software/firmware are up-to-date on the tv and PlayStation. A quick google search shows other Vizio customers are having the same issue, allegedly there's a firmware patch on the way but their support told me they know nothing of it. If the issue keeps up, I'll replace the tv, and NOT with another Vizio. Please fix the issue, it's a bad problem to have on an otherwise nice tv.

Typically when there is an issue with only one of the devices connected, it indicates an issue with that device's settings, connection, or cords. We’d really love for you to speak with our customer service team. They’ve got a few questions about the devices you have connected, and cords. They’re available through text message, chat, or over the phone. Just go to support.VIZIO.com and click on ‘Contact Us’.

Picture Quality is unbelievable

We replace a 58 inch wide screen tv we purchased in 2009 and the the picture quality is just unbelievable. It's clear, sharp and the colors are vibrant and warm. Of course it's a little bit bigger then the previous tv however I can view and read words without wearing my glasses.

Excellent picture - slow interface

I bought this tv almost 1 year ago after trying and returning a lower price Visio model. I then did some research and learned this particular model was highly rated, especially for picture quality. I mostly watch cable tv and Netflix, and sometimes a DVD or Blu-ray movie. The picture quality (contrast, color, black level, smooth motion, etc.) is excellent with everything I've watched. Absolutely 100% satisfied! The sound quality is decent with the built-in speakers, but I'm fussy about audio so I do have it hooked to a Visio sound bar for everyday use. I also have the audio signal connected to my main stereo system for watching epic movies or music concerts. The only two things I wish Visio had done better are the remote control and the smart tv interface. The remote is nice size and good looking, but not so comfortable to hold. The seam around the edges where the front and back panels come together is a little sharp. And it would be nice if the buttons were backlit, but overall the remote is decent for a tv at this reasonable price. The interface for the smart tv functions and for switching tv inputs is my primary disappointment. Even though my set is connected directly to the high speed internet router rather than using WiFi, there is a definite lag when scrolling to switch inputs or when moving around the home page screen. The lag becomes significant and somewhat frustrating when using any of the apps like Pandora or Netflix. Maybe it's just a slow processor chip for the smart tv functions inside the tv set. Because once I get where I want, everything looks and sounds great. I really like this tv and will continue to recommended it to my friends and family.

We love it!

Awesome! Best picture ever and has all the "smart" features that you can shake a stick at! Also has a "free" setting, it's almost like getting free cable. Cool. Best value for the quality. This was a "smart" purchase. Very Satisfied. Super easy set up. Just make sure your table is 55 inches or more for the feet that come with, otherwise you'll need a stand or wall mount.

Love the Watchfree feature.

I bought this TV back in September 2019 and have not had any issues with it. Great picture, the Watchfree TV is a great feature and truly is free. Smart cast is another great feature so that you have all the apps needed to watch whatever you are subscribing to.

Functions are not reliable

This TV has a very good picture, but that is about it. TV will come on by itself. The smartcast feature freezes up. I have 2 vizio TV 's, and both of them have the same issues. I had to do power up resets on both of them to get smartcast to work properly

Hi Jamestn. It's very rare for our TVs to have any sort of problem (It does happen, but we have a very low rate of failure). For two TV's to be having the same issue- in the same house- it may be something environmental that's causing the problem. If you could reach out to our support by going to support.VIZIO.com and clicking on 'Contact Us' we'd like to ask you some questions about your network and what devices you have connected to the TVs, to see if we can get to the bottom of this.

Excellent TV for Apple TV and Dolby Vision

I watched Mythic Quest: Raven's Banquet on Apple+ and it was the most amazing picture. Very impressive considering the market segment of this TV. Hollywood on Netflix looks great too. XBox One X looks better than average. Borderlands 3 has eye-popping color but the brightness is a little dull in HDR.

Slow processing speed, disconnects from internet,

Picture quality is good but the processor is sloooowwwww, it has poor connection to our wi-fi. When changing the input, the time it allows you to make an input selection is about 1.5 seconds so you better select quickly otherwise it exits. Overall just an annoying TV to own.

Very Solid TV

I bought this TV because after looking at all of the other 65 inch TVs this one had the best price and performance. The TV comes with lots of content and the picture quality is excellent for this price range. We look forward to the longevity of viewing from this TV.
