Dark spot after 3yrs

Do NOT buy! After 3 years, a large yellowish dark spot appeared on the screen. Couldn't file a claim because warranty expires after 3 years. See photo for dark spot. I attempted all troubleshooting recommendations to no avail. After similar complaints of the dark spot from others, it appears a flaw in the quality of the product. Stay away from Vizio, their products do not last long!

Great value for the money!!!

The SmartCast software was slow and faulty at first, but I reset the TV to factory settings and used the Ethernet connection to run the updates and it never had any issues since then. The picture and audio quality in HDR10+ is great. I try to get 4K HDR content as much as possible since the TV shows it so good.

HDMI

I recently began having trouble with the HDMI ports. I thought it was the Cablevision so the company came out to investigate. Changes the box tv worked now I am on Manke To receive communication I have used the the HDMI ports now none work. I need help

The best ever!

I brought this tv about 3 months ago and this tv till this moment has surprised me by so much. my older vizio use to lag and freeze up but this one has not done so by one bit. I love the color and sharpness it bring out on the pictures it really just blows my mind at how good the quality is. i will always buy another Vizio tv. Good Job Vizio! Keep it up!!

Disappointed

I did hours of shopping for the best bang for my buck - not the cheapest, not the bells and whistles - and I am disappointed. My last TV was a 1080p Vizio from 2008 and it still works great. That TV was not a smart TV. Apparently, “smart” means that it takes 10 seconds to turn on, has an interface that leaves lots to be desired, and it will often crash and reboot while navigating and sometimes there are horizontal white lines that appear at random and then it glitches while streaming some shows on Prime but not others. I adjusted some settings after seeing others having the same issues and that fixed the problem but in my mind. The bottom line is the display is great, the speakers are weak, and the streaming sucks. In 5 years the TV's hardware won't even be capable of keeping up with what is being streamed by Netflix/Hulu/Prime/Disney and I will have to rely on a 3rd party device and that is why I was not a fan of TV/DVD combos in the past and why I am not a fan of “smart” TVs now.

Best Picture Ever!!!!

We purchased this Vizio 55" over a month ago. This new Vizio replaced one we purchase over nine years ago. We gave our son the old one as it still plays. The new one is a upgrade and well worth it. The sound is so good I no longer use a sound bar. I have always recommended Vizio and would push the M558-G1 as a great model.

I like this TV but...

I like the TV very much. It would be nice to be able to download apps to it. Recently lVizio added Dinsey+ to the mix but before that I had to cast it from my phone. Also, the speakers are so small that there is no way to make them sound anything but tinny. I bought a sound bar to fix the problem.

Color , deep blacks, calibration

Vizio has a different approach to their color and contrast than other companies. Colors are extremely vibrant sharp excellent black contrast. Operating system slow in relation to other manufacturers. Being nitpicky as System works as required. Wi-Fi pick up a bit weak. Speakers fair. Even with equalizer difficult to distinguish voices in movies.Would purchase again.

Just what I needed

I am very happy with this purchase. Easy to set up and mount. Hooked up to Alexa with no issues at all which is great if I misplace the remote. Picture quality isn't OLED but it is the next best thing. Works great with my Xbox one x. Would definitely recommend.

High end features with out the cost.

I bought the 55 inch 4k quantum 90 zone full array model to replace my 55 inch m55 eo model. And to my surprise the new tv has exceeded my expectations, I can now have all my gaming consoles hooked up and take advantage of 4k HDR without having to switch hdmi ports. The picture looks amazing and easy to setup. My overall experience has been great. I have played every other manufacturers 4k HDR demos and I am blown away with how close in comparison this tv holds up. Super black to really bright and vibrant colors. My games look amazing.
