Buy this tv, and don't sweat the small stuff

Loved this tv. I choose this tv for the display. I see why there were so many bad reviews, because Vizio did not spend money on non essential things like the remote, which I think is just fine. People also don't realize that cable and over the air stations don't broadcast in uhd so the picture will not look great. I love the picture I see in uhd and hdr. Vizio spent money where it counted. No complaints about the sound, but I am not an audiophile. I have had the tv for 8 days and have not had the tv turn its self on at night. There is glare during the day but personally I have never had a tv that didn't reflect glare. I have blackout curtains so not an issue. No blooming issues and no backlight dimming issues either. Great picture. Smart cast is not like roku or fire tv but it is still good. I can live with it for the price I'm paying. I have not yet watched HD blu-ray movies from my blu-ray player, but I have watched 1080p movies from a thumb drive plugged into the USB slot and the picture was excellent. Love this tv. Buy this tv and don't sweat the small stuff.

Amazing tv for gaming!

Wow, this tv is beating my OLED, at least when gaming on it. I have an OLED B6 and I just purchased this Vizio and the colors and contrast look super good and not that the OLED doesnt have good contrast and colors but this just looks better and I dont know how since the OLED is a higher priced tv but if you play video games this is a good tv.

Great Tv

1st tv showed up with cracked screen but the replacement was in perfect condition . If you are buying this tv and do not have access to 4k I would tell you not to purchase this tv because 1080p looks terrible. Picture quality in 4k is amazing using the calibrated picture mode. Sound is average at best so buy a sound bar to take care of that. Overall I would definitely recommend this tv for the quality of picture.

GREAT Value, Picture Quality, Solid Reliability !

This is the best deal on a mid-range smart Display, QuantumColor, 90 dimming zones for crisp jet blacks and HDR10 400nit brightness, HDMI 2.1, a Really Great value under $600. This is my 5th Vizio, and is replacing an 50" M-series I bought 4 yrs. ago, and it now belongs to my son. Not one has failed me.

Great tv takes a minute to pickup in store

Bought this tv on 8-10-2020 was told it was going to be ready for pick up on Thursday 8-13-2020 it ended up being ready on 8-17-2020. Over all a good tv and worth the wait. I use a sound system with mine so I cant speak for the quality of the tv speakers. The on screen setup was easy and fast and the TVs color and picture is awesome.Havent had any lag from the tv even while gaming overall a great tv for the money

Good value for the price

In general, this TV is a good buy for the price and does what it is advertised to do. I gave it 4 stars because the clarity of the picture is OK, but it does not "knock your socks off". The Smart function works very well and offers many options and is easy to work with.

terrible laggy user interface. not worth the $600

After years of using Sony and Samsung brand tvs I went with Vizio as Samsung has been removing features from their models every year and trying to push you to buy $1000 dollar models. well with Vizio I got local dimming zones and better peak brightness but it was at a cost. I learned Vizio's user interface is laggy unresponsive junk to say the least. in the mornings when I turn on the TV it'll be a dark screen for several seconds. the power ON LED on tv front is so dim, someone with a 20/20 vision has to squint to see if it's on or not. opening the menu and changing inputs has delay of several seconds. it feels they stuffed in a cheap 5 year old processor in there to save a few pennies. whatever image of vizio I had being a quality budget brand is shattered. my Roku ultra cannot be controlled with the tv remote and Vizio's twitter team confirmed that . it worked fine with Samsung tvs remote so it seems vizio just had half baked support for CEC. I'm amazed how bad and laggy this tvs software is considering Vizio's been in this market for years. the overall user interface design seems to be from the 90s. the volume adjustment screen shows a full screen 100% wide bar at the bottom which is terrible and takes away from the viewing experience. I like the under stated and low profile volume level display in Samsungs which shows the level on the side of the screen and doesn't take the whole width of the screen. changing inputs bring you to a Terribly colored list of all inputs. there is no proper highlighting of the current port . it's a carousel of all inputs and is nausea inducing. I'd hope vizio hires a UI/UX expert to overhaul this terrible outdated interface. I was certainly not expecting this for $600 tv. it would certainly not stand out to retired consumers with less knowledge of modern software but anyone using a better brand tv can tell how terrible the UI is. I could write a book on this tvs shortcomings but I've already wasted enough time buying it and setting it up and now will spend hours trying to return it.

DON'T BUY UNTIL YOU SEE IT DEMONSTRATED IN A STORE

I bought this TV to replace my 12 year old, 42" Vizio. I played a blu-ray dvd to see what improvement this new Vizio had over my 12 year old Vizio. There was no improvement in picture or sound quality. The colors were no better, and the resolution was worse on the new one. I reset the resolution and color controls many different ways, but no matter what I did, the older Vizio's color was equal in quality, and it's resolution was better. This Vizio comes factory preset in "Vivid" color scheme. In 'Vivid', the colors are rich and brilliant, but the hues are all wrong. Green grass has a purple tint to it, and faces look sunburned. In 'Vivid' color setting, everything looks unnatural. You need to reset the color to 'Standard', but when you do that, all the richness of color is washed out. Like I said, the color is no better than my 12 year old Vizio, and the resolution is not as good. Don't believe all the hype in the Vizio advertisement. The only improvement I got for the money I spent on this TV, was it is bigger than my 12 year old one. BUT, the resolution is not as good. My error was ordering it online and not watching it demonstrated in the store first. Don't you make that costly mistake.

At VIZIO we pride ourselves on our highly rated picture quality. Sites like CNet, RTings, and Reviewed.com consistently rate VIZIOs picture quality among the best in the industry. To make sure you’re getting the most out of you VIZIO TV, we’d recommend making sure your devices are connected with an HDMI cable, and that you’re getting an HD ( or UHD) signal. If you're watching a DVD in your blu-ray player you're likely only getting HD- and not taking advantage of the 4K resolution this TV can display. Because picture quality can also vary depending on how much light you have in the room- and personal preference, we've also included the ability individually adjust your picture settings in the menu. If you’d like any assistance adjusting these settings, our customer support team would love to help you dial in the TV to your preference, you can reach them at 855-833-3221.

Probably a defective Model.

The sound on was horrible. My tablet gets louder than this tv. The picture quality not good for anything less than Dolby Vision content. I am fairly certain I received a defective model. But that says more about Vizio quality control. I cannot reccommed buying this tv.
