Great TV for the Price

This was my first large tv. So far, it seems to be working very well It was a pretty easy setup. Given the size (55"), I was able to do it myself. The brightness, color and sound seems to be excellent. I am also loving that it is HomeKit compatible

I Wish I Could Have Returned This

After researching the TV and seeing good reviews before purchasing, I am disappointed with this TV. It has a very good image if youre directly in the center of the screen, but this TV has rainbow or green to pink lines that can be seen on the screen anytime viewing from off-center. You can see it over bright or darker images. I didnt open or set up my tv until well after return window as I had no reason to suspect a problem, so returning was out. And after speaking to Vizio customer support, they tried to say that this is not a defect and is just apart of the viewing angle. If the only angle you can view a tv without rainbow lines showing is directly in the center of the screen, than this is a poor quality TV. I have purchased other Vizio TVs and this was not an issue, nor have I seen this on any TV on display at Walmart. But after the Vizio representative and a manager told me that this is normal operation for the TV and not a defective unit, this will be my last Vizio purchase.

Worth the money

Great overall display, picture quality is excellent after calibrating it to your taste. All the built in apps you could want, chromecast/apple airplay for anything else also built in. Sound quality is okay, nothing amazing but if you want really good sound you need a seperate system as with most TV's. Really great value for the money.

Horrible!

Problems from day one. The color is beautiful but the rest of the tv is trash. You have to aim the remote directly at power on the lower left side.... many times the tv won't power on. I'm returning it today because the tv won't come on at all. We have had the tv just 21 days!

Was finally time to upgrade a refurbished 48in Vizio brought a few years back (which is still working perfectly). Nice sharp picture, sound is a bit better then the other TV but Vizio just kinda lacks in that department, luckily I already have a soundbar. Nice sleek profile and lightweight TV.

EASILY the best TV under $1200

Color, brightness, HDR, contrast, crispness: this TV is an absolute STEAL for the price. There is nothing with comparably good picture until you start spending more than double the price. The only (very minor) drawback is that the "smart tv" software is only so-so (really not bad, just not amazing), but I reckon most people have a Roku or Amazon or PS4 or something they use anyways, so that's moot. The build quality is very good: designed in the USA, assembled in Mexico (not China, unlike most other manufacturers).

Great television

I purchased this television in preparation for the Xbox series X due to it having the pro gaming engine. However, I've come to realize that this tv is great whether you're watching a movie or your favorite sport. Highly recommend this television if you're a gamer or not.

Best 55" TV under $600 if you can get one in stock

So far so great. I bought this in October 2020 for the November PS5 release upgrading to 4K. It's clear, crisp and quick. 4k streaming looks fantastic on Netflix and Prime video. I did my research and this was the best TV in the 55" category under $600, but I snagged a random in stock one for $498 so even better. I got a 32" soundbar and I have an issue with digital optical, but it's probably a cord or soundbar issue, but the RCA sound is still very good.

Very bad banding (M55Q8-H1)

I bought this TV and let me say the picture quality is very good. I really, REALLY wanted to like this TV, but it has this really annoying problem where (especially in gaming) if the camera moves around a lot, there will be some very obviously bands that are different shades, so it gets extremely annoying. The sound is also terrible, and I had to buy a soundbar for it. Overall it is not worth the hassle and for $580 you should be getting better quality than this. I'm thinking that I will be getting the 65” V-Series, which is $100 cheaper AND larger than this TV. The picture quality won't be as good but once you see the bands you can't unsee them.
