Have reservations

We have had several problems from the beginning. After setup there was no sound on hdmi setting when turned on. Came on after switching to smart tv programs and returned to hdmi the sound came on. The next day the screen would not come on. After trying numerous efforts to get it to come on. I unplugged the power supply and it appears to be working now. But I still have reservations as to weather to return the set. The picture is not as sharp as advertised. I had a V series and the M is supposed be 80% sharper. This set is not.

It's big mistake to purchasing this TV

The most annoying operating system in TV industry Few of a ton of the issues with this TV: Automatically powers off whenever it feels to and you can turn it back using a remote. It takes more than 5 minutes to fully load the apps every time when you turn on the TV. Doesn't supply the audio to external speakers most of the time. and many more issues that I have no patience to type. By the way, the VIZIO CUSTOMER SUPPORT IS A JOKE. Once you purchase this you just have to live with it's a ton of issues.

Great tv

It's HUGE. Definitely measure. The color is so vivid and I didn't realize it's a smart tv that's a plus. (My husband picked it and I was here when it arrived) it's been great for my work outs with the whole family.

Easy To Set Up Out Of The Box. Gorgeous Picture

Set up is super easy. The picture quality and clarity is amazing. It is very easy to use and there are an abundance of apps that some are free and others are a fee. The best feature is Smartcast.

Buy from the store. Not online. Too much hassle

Bought on 1/6/21. Came 1/9/21. I opened it and set up. Soon as I powered it up the panel had a black line going top to bottom of screen. Since it's new had to go the factory warranty. Also I bought Walmart's protection plan by way definitely should do Since nowadays technology is crap lol. Talk to vizio and now I have to wait 3weeks for a replacement and its not vizio that comes out to replace it its a sub contractor for them to do it. Never buy a tv online just go to store. It's a great tv dont get me wrong just know vizio as a company do there customers wrong with telling u information then not knowing what's in the notes for your account far as getting a replacement. Everything works besides the panel not working 100percent.

It takes 2

Ordered the TV and waited about 2 weeks to get it unboxed hooked every thing up got mounted on the wall pulled off the screen cover and top middle had about the size of a softball crush break in the screen. Called to report damage to Sam's after 45 minutes to 1hr on hold orders for replacement done. Waiting period same for 2nd TV. Got call from the delivery driver be here in 30 minutes had to pack up the first TV. The 2nd TV was wet up 6 inches on the box fortunately the foam packing was that tall delivery driver unpacked the TV no damage. Now we are enjoying the great picture and all for 800 bucks. Would recommend it to anyone.

Lips movement lagging not matching the words

The picture quality, color is beautiful, however I have to continually unplug and plug it back in, like a reset so that the lip movement matches, catches up to the words. I experienced this problem, occasionally, with my last large screen tv also. I thought it was the network broadcasting the program. It wasn't. So now when I am not watching, I automatically unplug it. I gave it a 4 star rating because of the problem, otherwise I am enjoying watching my favorite programs on this screen.

Returning and never buying Vizio again

Day 18 of having it. The first 17 days were really nice. Very bright and vivid colors. Great sound, and nice that I could control my TV with the Google Home mini. Today I went to the main screen of my fire stick, and noticed a black line in the top right hand corner. I got up to take a closer look, to find that about 8 pixels have died. I find that a TV having this issue within 20 days is just sad. I have a box with no evidence of damage, was very careful mounting it to my stand. I just can't believe that pixels are going out already. I replaced my Samasung 6 series LCD 1080p 52" with this and I never had one issue with that TV. I will never try with this brand ever again. BTW have tried to factory reset it and a pixel test on youtube. Still dead!

Excellent picture and useful settings

This TV is amazing, especially considering the price. The colors are rich and the black areas are a deep inky black. I re-watched the first episode of Altered Carbon in 4K UHD (HDR10) and it was outstanding. The detail is crisp. There was no blooming in the blacks and dark greys. When I watched some 1080p shows I got a small amount of blooming where the very dark spaces had some texture - ripples on a lake, for example. But even in 1080p there was far less blooming than I'd experienced with my previous TV which was a Vizio P-series from 5 years ago. I'm incredibly happy with the picture. Vizio has done a really good job with the picture settings. I don't like a lot the motion processing modern TVs use to prevent blur and sharpen edges. I normally shut those features off completely. I think I have the settings where I want to leave them on this TV now and I'm actually using a bit of the Vizio processing. I have the "Edge Enhancement" and "Noise Reduction" on Low. The "Motion Control" I set to Off because I can't stand the "soap opera effect." Great TV and can't beat the price. I recommend the new model (M55Q8) over last year's model (M55Q7) because the Q8 has 90 local dimming areas and the Q7 has 30. I haven't seen them side by side but I'd bet the tripple dimming areas make a difference.
