Smartcast interface is amazingly bad

The smartcast user interface is terrible. For the first few months of use we were constantly dealing with it crashing and/or apps not working. Even when it does function, the interface is very slow. My cheap 4yr old TV runs circles around the Vizio. My old TV will have the app open and movie playing while the Vizio is still trying to open the app. The smartcast seems to crash less often now, after almost a year, but it is still stupidly slow.

I have had this tv for a year and I am very happy with it overall. I just have times when the apps don't work well or when you press the button for the home screen it never comes up. Sometimes powering it down doesn't fix it and I have to factory reset the whole thing. But the picture is very good when everything is working.

SmartCast no so good

I bought this TV the last December 14. I'm testing this TV since, but i found a couple of things that doesn't feel right about this TV. First, the Wireless configuration when you set this TV connecting to 5Ghz wireless network, every time (and i mean it) that you turn on the TV says that you are not connect to the network, instead i had to do a 30 seconds reset pressing the Power Button to able to connect again to the Wireless. Due this i've finishing configuring the networking via UTP cable, important mention that this is the only device that have that trouble in my home including my friends and visitiors that regulary coming and connect to the Guest Wireless. Second the "Smart"-Cast, to me is a troubleshooting almost every time that i turn on the TV, with the message "SmartCast is not available in your Region", i'm really thinking about connecting my Amazon Fire TV 4k or my Nvidia Shield TV, to avoid this annoying issue. Third, the time that i manage to get work the "Smart-Cast" is very slow and for example the Plex APP doesn't support Directplay or DirectStream from my server. This TV has a serious lack of support to install applications something very needed nowdays. The TV in overall for the price seems like be "OK", but really i had to think about twice and maybe spend a additional bucks in my budget and get another deal.

Vizio 65

Bought this tv 4 days later no picture just sound, the reason for two stars and not one Wal mart was great with the return. No problem no hassle, this is how it is suppose to be, Wal mart doesn't control the way something is built they control sales and does that very well.

It's ok - lot of money for what it is

I bought this TV a few months ago. I have had to reset it a couple of times already. I cannot connect my blue tooth to it, which it my fault for not noticing that before I purchased it but I assumed for the money that would be an option. I just don't think it is as easy to use as the Sony I have in my bedroom. If I had to do it again, I would buy another one like that. Which is a surprise as I usually am happy with all of my VIzio purchases.

Worth every penny!

This TV is beautiful! I love all the features and apps. I do wish you could search for apps and the add apps I want. All the major apps (netflix, hulu) work flawlessly. It's also super simple to use. I gave wanted to give it one star less because I seem to have problems using Apple Airplay from my phone (lots of pausing video and sometimes disconnects all together). This also happened when I've tried to use the built in chromecast from my computer as well. I've not had these problems when I've used AirPlay before. It's possible my phone is being janky or the internet, so I left it at 5 stars.

Fabulous colors, sleek look, great features

My girlfriend got herself a V-Series and we both like it a lot, however I wanted to spend a little more to get a better contrast/darker blacks. I am impressed by this TV's colors, though I have to admit that for the last 10 yeas I was using a video projector which just can't compete in that regard. The sleek look and Simplistic design is great, and great features like Chromecast and remote control speed buttons for Netflix and Prime Video are nice perks. The remote that came with my TV was defective, but within 5 days I Vizio had sent me a replacement. We had some issues setting up the internet connection on my girlfriend's TV, but Vizio's Support was able to walk us through the firmware update process and got it going within 25 Minutes.

Perfect Size/Color

I've wanted to upgrade for awhile and comparing various brand this one seemed the best. Great package for a great price. Same technology as the expensive brands and Vizio has always lasted. Love the features it offers. AirPlaying music from your phone is better than most Bluetooth speakers on this television.

Picture and audio good - viziocast is lagging

I only got the Vizio M-Series because my TCL became damaged and they didn't have any other TCLs in stock. +As far as the picture quality and audio quality of the TV, it's great! I'd put it right there with the best of them and a great price. -The thing I really dislike is the Viziocast system. In a now streaming centric decade, you don't have the ability to download any new apps. You're stuck with the default apps, and don't be fooled by the “30+ apps included”. Only about 5-6 of them are relevant streaming apps. -The other issue I have with viziocast is the apps will too often crash/close themselves out. They're slow to open. The main menu sometimes takes minutes to return to before the apps show back up. Our simple solution has been to plug in our extra roku into the tv and just use that input. Hopefully Vizio realizes how far behind the streaming game they are and improve that side of their product because the base television components are rock solid.

Picture quality not very good. Very disappointed

I bought by TV a couple months ago. I switched from Samsung because I wanted better sound. The sound is a little better but the picture quality is not what I hoped for. I understand the store settings give you a better picture to assist with sales, but I am not getting the picture I was hoping for. I was hoping to stick with Vizio for my next purchase but that may not be the case. Hopefully someone can help me. Signed, Concerned
