Nice picture

I bought this TV about 2 weeks ago. I really like the picture quality. I had a bit of a learning curve since this was my first 4k tv purchase but all and all I like the set. Only thing I don't understand is the speakers being on the back of the TV. Hmmm

Love The Picture!

Have been watching for over 1 month and so far so good. Picture is great once I got the settings right. Auto settings did not look good - kind of hazy looking. Watched Super Bowl in 4K and it was great. Apps work well considering my internet connection is not the fastest. Like this TV very much for the price and would recommend to all.

GOOD TV but it has some quirks

Bought this TV before Christmas and wanted to give it some time before wrote a review. For the most part the 4K picture quality is good; the black is truely black and the colors are vibrant. BUT here are the quirks: 1] the apps are buggy 2] app navigation menu is terrible 3] the remote is cheap(made and feel) 4] TV sometimes randomly turns off 5] Sound effect options do seem do anything real 6] It sometimes doesn't "play" well with my Vizio sound bar (it becoming annoying)

Manual - awful. Onscrn menus are confusingly split

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The technology is really good, it has an impressive picture. But its impossible to figure iut hiw to operate the TV appropriately. Menus are disjointed & all over the place. Theres a Menu screen for certain settings, one for INPUTS, one for the HOME screen which has apps, and casting icons, but you turn on Airplay in another screen. Connecting a computer by HDMI cable results in constant screen flickering, as well as the TV randomly re-booting.

Great picture at a great value!

I bought this unit recertified, but can't even tell the difference from brand new. Vision did a great job getting the unit back into pristine working condition and I have had no issues after about 2 months of usage. It has Dolby Vision and HDR 10, sometimes 10+ will even pop up when watching some sources. I like the ease of use and the availability of the apps and Airplay. It pairs with my Xbox, Denon Receiver, and Echo Dot seamlessly. This is my first Vizio Tv and I'm impressed. Won't be upgrading anytime soon, but I will keep an eye out for newer models in the future.

Excellent Picture with Quantum Dot Tech

I went a little crazy doing research on finding my new TV with all the technologies out there! Ultimately I decided on this Vizio 65" M-Series M658-G1 over a 65" 6 series TCL Quantum. I went from a 42" LG to this 65" huge upgrade - you don't realize the difference until it's in your living room! This model is a CNET Editor's Choice for moderately priced TV's. PRIVACY: I paid for my product and Vizio or any other manufacturer has NO business knowing what I'm watching and selling my data! If you're giving away the TV for free with the catch being Vizio has the right to monitor viewing habits, that would be different. You should have an easy OPT-IN or OPT-out. I did disable the "sharing viewing habits" option which they make difficult to find and is pre-checked to share. I connected to my WiFi and it's impossible to disconnect it through the TV settings - once again, this should be our option to disconnect since we bought the TV PRO's - Great picture - Features features features! - Settings (too many) Vizio should have suggested settings for the type of viewing you do most - movies/TV shows, live sports, etc and have optimal settings suggestions (yes all of them) for those CON's - Remote poorly designed kinda a waste of time using it - TV Feet - This is a BIG DEAL. I'm sure as many people found out this last Christmas season a number of MFGR's made the TV base feet too wide for standard furniture TV stands. A lot of TV cadenza's are ~ 4'. Vizio made this TV (and likely many other models) 4' 2.5". Just a little too wide for standard width TV furniture. If you're hanging your TV on the wall it doesn't apply to you. If your TV is on a stand of 4', you have to buy a whole new TV stand at several hundred dollars!! Vizio should have designed the feet to fit a standard sized TV stand - this isn't difficult and should've been a basic consideration for your customers. - Speakers - weak, they'll do but you will end up buying a soundbar eventually.

Great features... slow to add channels

I originally bought a competitors TV... it was delivered broken. So i returned it to the store and opted for this particular model. The Smart TV features work very well, and the ability to use a Cat-5 cable was a great feature for me. The menu system is greatly improved from earlier models (read 8+ years ago). Vizio also got rid of the light up logo on the bottom of the tv which i like. The picture is excellent and the colors from my eyes seem to be really good. The other selling feature for me is i still have old components - yes a VCR (Gasp) and a Wii that use the Component cables. These connections still exist on the back of the television to use (SCORE!) The only con that i can see is a lack of Disney+ (at the time of this review) which means i have to use my Roku that i had attached on my 15 year old television this one replaced. As such it would be nice to have newer channels as they come to market added in a quicker manner to the TV as there is no marketplace to simply download them.

Sleek TV - Great Value - Everything I Need

I have no complaints after upgrading from a 5+ year-old 39" Vizio Smart TV. It looks beautiful and sleek mounted up on the wall in our living room. I enjoy the interface and smart features/apps, and I think they are clear and easy to use. Picture looks great, and the sound isn't half-bad with no external speakers or sound bar either.

Not happy with purchase

This is my 1st and last Vizio, as a matter of fact I'm returning it. The remote is horrible, when turning on the power the TV will not come on with the 1st push of the button, it takes 3 to 4 tries. The sound is not adjustable compared to other TVs, it's either in a whisper mode or blasting you out of the room. Can't get on the internet with this TV. To do anything on this TV you have to click yourself to death, not user friendly at all. No more Vizio for me.

great picture quality.....

The picture is awsome on this tv, I have unfortunately had to have it serviced with them sending a tech out to replace the man part on the inside. The first symptoms were the sound cutting in and out and the HDMI devices not working at the time. Also, it would change to a smart cast on its own and shut off. A few resets that they walked me through ended up with them swapping out the part. Since the new part it has shut off on me 9 times and I am waiting on them to get back to me on this. Vizio is usually good on this and I have no doubt they will take care of it. signed hopeful this will be resolved.
