Disappointed

I did hours of shopping for the best bang for my buck - not the cheapest, not the bells and whistles - and I am disappointed. My last TV was a 1080p Vizio from 2008 and it still works great. That TV was not a smart TV. Apparently, “smart” means that it takes 10 seconds to turn on, has an interface that leaves lots to be desired, and it will often crash and reboot while navigating and sometimes there are horizontal white lines that appear at random and then it glitches while streaming some shows on Prime but not others. I adjusted some settings after seeing others having the same issues and that fixed the problem but in my mind. The bottom line is the display is great, the speakers are weak, and the streaming sucks. In 5 years the TV's hardware won't even be capable of keeping up with what is being streamed by Netflix/Hulu/Prime/Disney and I will have to rely on a 3rd party device and that is why I was not a fan of TV/DVD combos in the past and why I am not a fan of “smart” TVs now.

First smart tv

Not used to having to switch apps to get content...but I can live with it. Also, was not prepared for the quality of the picture from wireless. I found out afterward that there is very little 4k streaming through wireless. But, the picture is still better than my cable with the old tv....So I am ultimately satisfied. Additionally, when I watch Netflix and Prime through my PS4, the picture is better than when I use the same apps from the Smart Apps in the TV. I imagine that would be the same if I added a Roku device. For the price and size, I am happy.

I like this TV but...

I like the TV very much. It would be nice to be able to download apps to it. Recently lVizio added Dinsey+ to the mix but before that I had to cast it from my phone. Also, the speakers are so small that there is no way to make them sound anything but tinny. I bought a sound bar to fix the problem.

Good product for price

Let's be straight. I am not a gaming enthusiast. I do not need the latest generation of screen technology. This product has excellent screen clarity and color. The sound is also excellent. It has current technology options like Air Play and Google Chromecast. My only criticism is that many of my devices can't find the Chrome Cast and I end up connecting them manually through HDMI. The problem doesn't seem to lie with the other devices as they have no problem connecting to the smaller screen, less expensive Vizio TV in another room.

Picture Quality Is Great!

This is my first 4K TV and I must say that this is a major upgrade for me! 4K content pops and the Dolby Vision is amazing when streaming on apps like Netflix and Disney +. Blacks are black and not washed out. I really don't have anything negative to say about the TV other than I wish they had more built in apps. They recently added Disney+ so hopefully more apps come in the future, but that's not a big deal for me. Overall I am pleased with this purchase.

Great value!

This TV replaced a TCL that failed right after the warranty expired. Nice even light dispersion unlike the TCL with a bright picture. Colors are awesome. My expectations were high and so far this TV has held up to them. Sound is not too bad from the TV but I typically use a separate sound system. If you're not an audiophile, it's fine.

It's ok - lot of money for what it is

I bought this TV a few months ago. I have had to reset it a couple of times already. I cannot connect my blue tooth to it, which it my fault for not noticing that before I purchased it but I assumed for the money that would be an option. I just don't think it is as easy to use as the Sony I have in my bedroom. If I had to do it again, I would buy another one like that. Which is a surprise as I usually am happy with all of my VIzio purchases.

Overall

I bought the Vizio M series last month and let me tell you guys that it's a really solid T.V. The colors are dynamic and rich. The build in speakers are ok but you could buy vizio 5.1 speakers for an extra sound boost. The down side to this awesome T.V is that the build in chromecast is really slow, the remote control feels really looks and feels really cheap, and it freeze on sometimes. Overall I would give this product a 6/10

Great Features

We bought this TV when our TV went out. Our old TV was a basic plasma. This TV is BIG and Bright! It has numerous features including FREE internet channels. When you first turn it on and it starts up, it has a homepage look similar to Netflix, with Streaming & Movie apps to select. This TV is truly smart! We love it! WARNING: It is BIG and Bright, so if you have a small room, be prepared to light it up! It has true black and vibrant colors as advertised. It starts off a little confusing to get all the features and wifi connected, but it is not rocket science so you should figure it out without asking google. The Chromecast feature and Smartwatch button on the remote was so beneficial we actually disconnected our cable because with all the available FREE channels and movies we didn't need it. I would say there are well over 200 FREE channels and quite a few were on on our cable lineup. So we now get for free what we use to pay for! Overall a GREAT BUY for us!

Not crazy about it.

Seems like Statcast is buggy, I'm rebooting constantly . And I don't like having no buttons on the tv for anything . Remotes fail . And then you're stuck . You can't even turn it on. Just my opinion. I think the software is basic, we should be able to add our own websites or apps.
