Great but technical difficulties

It'll randomly turn off while I'm watching television. When I turn it back on, there's no audio. I try messing with the audio settings but nothing works. I usually have to unplug the power cord, wait, then plug it back in to make the audio come back. And even that doesnt work 100% of the time

Great tv.

Bought this to replace my 52 LG and I was surprised by the difference. I played with the settings for colors and made a great improvement. Too bad that the one that enjoys it most is my 4year old and his cartoons. Have an 8 year old Vizio 32 inch work like new hope this one does the same.

defective out of the box

as soon as i turned it on for the first time it blinked on & off for about 10-15 seconds. at first, i thought it was doing this simply b/c it was the first time for it to be turned on however i was wrong. it did this pretty much every time i turned it on and it would also do it when i changed the channels. very frustrating as i had to return it approx 4-days later as i thought it would quit but again i was wrong. i bought this to replace a samsung that had recently got struck by lightning though after returning the defective vizio i essentially went back with another samsung.....

Amazing!

Ordered this just before Christmas and it arrived within 10 days. We love it!! Easy set up, pairs perfectly with our sound bar and antenna. Juggled 3 remotes before we got this now we only need one. Biggest challenge is going to be to stop watching it.

Out of the Box Unreliable and Repetitive Failures

I've only had this TV for a couple of weeks and will be returning it to Sam's shortly. It shuts off on its own. The other problem I have with it is this. While watching programs via Internet connection (Amazon, Netflix, Hulu, etc), it freezes up with the ever-(jittery)spinning white icon coming up over a black screen. It takes unplugging it and plugging it back in to temporarily resolve these 2 issues... until the next time which may be 10 minutes or 2 days later. The 6 year old 55" Vizio this TV was bought to replace never had these problems.

Hello VegasKen, your television should not shut off on its own unless a CEC, remote or voice command is provided to it. Also, your applications should have no problem streaming as long as you are within range and connected to a stable network connection. If you still have your television we’d really love the opportunity to have our tech support team run through some troubleshooting steps to see if we can get the TV up and running for you. When you have a free moment, they’re available through text message, chat, or over the phone. Just go to support.VIZIO.com and click on ‘Contact Us’.

Airplay doesn't work. Horrible support.

If you review the Youtube "How to use Apple AirPlay 2 | VIZIO SmartCast™" you'll find dozens of complaints from Vizio customers that the Airplay function is buggy or doesn't work at all. I wish I'd seen it before buying. In my case it works with my iPhones. Doesn't work with my Macs (OS X High Sierra). Yes, I'm using the same wifi network for Mac and TV. I've also done a factory reset of the TV. I contacted Vizio and I'll have to say they have some of the most mindless drones for "support reps" and "support supervisors" I've ever dealt with. All they know how to do is read off a script. For every comment or objection I made they just repeated the same script over and over again. They refuse to listen. Talk about gaslighting! Every time I asked to speak to a supervisor or have the problem escalated they just gaslighted me again. I spent over an hour on the phone only to hear them say their "resolution to the problem is you'll have to call Apple for support." And of course they weren't about to pay for the $35 minimum charge Apple requires for phone support. I'm an Apple Certified Consultant and have been for over 25 years. So I know a few things about Apple. I can say with 100% certainty this is not Apple's problem. In order for Vizio to even begin the process of writing code to support Airplay they had to become an Apple Developer to get Apple's specs for Airplay. If in writing code Vizio didn't follow Apple's Airplay specifications precisely their product won't work properly, and this is clearly what happened here. Vizio screwed up, but rather than owning it, or referring it to their own product development team, they're telling customers to call Apple for support! I've bought Vizio products before, including 2 prior TVs and 2 soundbars. Never again. I won't patronize an incompetent business that gaslights their customers when they need product support.

Hello Peter, to get Airplay to work when using your Mac it would require macOS 10.14.5 or higher to be able to stream your content. If you are able to upgrade your Mac operating system and you are still not able to Airplay your content please reach out to our customer support again at support.vizio.com and click on 'Contact Us'.

TV Only Lasted 2 Years and Customer Service Stinks

I bought this TV in Sept of 2019 looking for a 4k TV that didn't break the bank. I was generally happy with it for 2 years until the LED Backlights started to fail. Obviously out of warranty, I tried to get some help from Customer Service with possible repair/fixes and was basically told to get a new TV and there was nothing they could do about it nor did they have any repair suggestions. I've been previously pretty happy with Vizio products but I will likely never by Vizio again

Initially great but backlight failing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this TV about 4 years ago to replace our 10yo Vizio plasma that finally failed. Since the plasma lasted so long I was 100% sold on the Vizio brand. We decided on the M series and excitingly brought it home and set it up. Initially it worked great, however, at the 1 yr mark right after the manufacture warranty ended, we started seeing dark spots on the TV. I quickly found out it was the led backlighting going bad. Since it was out of warranty there was nothing we could do. Today we have dark spots ALL OVER the TV but can't afford to replace the TV. I will never buy a Vizio again.

Great TV if you don't mind constantly resetting it

I bought this tv a month ago and it looks great when it's not freezing or dropping the internet... The soft reset option seems to fix the problems, temporarily anyway... it this is how all “Smart” TVs behave, you are better off buying a dumb one and an Apple TV!

Best TVs in the world

I bought this VIZIO M-Series Quantum 65" Class 4K HDR Smart Tv and I love it.... Vizio never disappoints... have 4 bedroom home and all rooms have Vizio TVs... never had an issue with any the reason I bought this one is because I had an old Vizio Smart Vizio tv in the living room and it was just time to upgrade so I put my old Vizio in my room and kept the new one in the living room
