A good tire for the right vehicle

It appears that most people who own a Mercedes with these tires were disappointed. I think there is a link between early tread wear and what car these tires are running on. I also believe that the size of the tire is a factor. I drive a 2017 Ford Escape 2.0 Titanium AWD. It originally came with Continental Contiprocontact 235x45x19 tires. I put 45,000 miles on them before switching to the Continental ProContact SSR GX 235x45x19 tires. I only switched due to the fact that the SSR's have more traction on the outer edge which I think will help in the light snow. I have over 10,000 miles on these tires and they still look new. Hardly any wear when I measured the tread depth. So yes, if the Mercedes drivers are saying stay away from them, then I would do it, but as a Ford Escape driver, I am very happy with mine. Road Noise is minimal, handling is same as the originals tires...good grip, Longevity is great...45,000 miles and could've gone to 60,000.

Great tire at a competitive price.

I bought a set of 4 April 2016 and they are wearing well. I can't say if they compare to Michelens for longevity but still good quality.

TerribleTread life

Good performance but terrible wear, maybe my rear tires are defective. Only lasted 7000 miles. My average with other cars is 30000 miles.

Terrible tread life, harsh ride

OEM tires on my 2017 C300 Coupe. Horrible lifespan, I'm at approx 45,000 km (less than 30k miles), and they are ready to go. Not impressed.

Thank you for reviewing our tires. Unfortunately, there is no way to tell exactly how long a tire will last but it's important for consumers to note that tires do, in fact, have a lifespan. That lifespan depends on a combination of factors including a driver's habits, tire design, climate, road conditions, and service of the tire.

Great smooth quiet ride

These are runflat (SSR) tires and the wear time is limited. The lat set I got only alittle over 18,000 miles.

Traded in for Pirellis at 500 miles!

Really quiet on smooth roads. That's where it ends! Any change in “texture” and these tires light up with every “tune” in the book! And, worse, they are horrible riding, stiff, tires. Brand new X3!

Needs replacing every 10,000 miles

I have Continental 225/45R18 95H PRO GX SSR tires which came with my 2019 Mercedes C450. After only 123000 miles I need to replace the back two tires as they are at the tread wear line

Harsh ride but quiet

Tires came on my 2015 Mercedes C300, the runflats make the ride very harsh.

Rapid tire tread wear. I do not recommend buying.

New Mercedes Benz GLB250. This is a family car, we took the children to school and sometimes to the store. In two years, the car has traveled almost 20,000 miles. The official dealer at the next service issued a conclusion about the complete wear of tires and offered to buy new ones. I have never had such rapid tire wear. I usually changed tires after 3-4 years with a mileage of 35000-40000 miles.
