These were factory tires on my 2014 Subaru Outback 2.5i. After only 34,000 miles I am having to replace all four tires! I rotate my tires on a regular basis so I expected more from them.

Thanks for providing a fair assessment of our tires. Please keep in mind, we manufacture original equipment tires to the specification of the vehicle manufacturer, placing limits on what we are able to do to the tires. If you liked the overall performance of our tires, we recommend checking out one of our replacement tire lines. All replacement Continental Tires are covered by our Total Confidence Plan, which includes complimentary road side assistance, a 60 - Day Customer Satisfaction Trial and road hazard coverage.

Average

These tires are good enough for being factory tires but I'm disappointed that after 36000 miles I'm having to buy a new set. I'll definitely go with something higher quality and with a warranty next time.

Not expected

These were factory tires for a 2014 Subaru Outback 2.5i Limited 17-inch wheel and I'm disappointed that after 38,500 miles I have to buy a new set. I've had the dealer rotate and balance per manufacturer recommendation.

Never had a tire to last only 2 years

I am the owner of an Outback 2014 limited and this tires are factory tires on it. I was in disbelieve when I was told that they need replacement, and this on a care that is not out of warranty yet ... bold tires!

AVOID!!!

Worst tires I've ever owned, and frankly, it's not even close. Have literally gone through 6 front tires due to ruptures and bulges on BMW M850 before the rears were needing replacement due to treadwear (at only 30K miles). Hit a modest pothole or road seam and panic ensues, as there is a high likelihood the low tire pressure warning is soon to follow. Support from Continental is nonexistent. Have also needed 4 new wheels during this same 30M stretch due to cracks and bends caused by the rigid sidewalls. These issues are not normal. I put 85K on set of Bridgestones in previous car (Infiniti G37) with zero issues driving same roads. Continental and BMW should both be ashamed. Utterly disgusted.

Front tires bold at less than 25 K on grandma's C300

I drive like a grandma on smooth roads in coastal warm California, but my 2017 Mercedes C300 coupe has it's front tires almost bold. Came to Montana, and was told that I better replace the tires if want to make back to California in one piece. The car got timely services at authorized dealerships - like all of the Mercedes I've had in the last 20 years, and never encountered this problem with any of them!

The New Vehicle Tire Warranty is for 72 months from the date of purchase or until the tires are worn down to 2/32"; whichever, comes first. Once the tires reach 2/32", the New Vehicle Tire Warranty ends. Although excluded, you can have the tires inspected for consideration outside the New Vehicle Tire Warranty. The tires need to be evenly worn down to 2/32" or less, with records of tire rotation every 6,000 miles.

Terrible Tires

I have Continental 225/45R18 95H PRO GX SSR tires which came with my 2018 Mercedes C300. After only 12,000 miles I need to replace the front two tires as they are at the tread wear line already! Ridiculous! Terrible wear. I would not recommend these tires to anyone!!

BMW 320i sport

I had these tires installed and all I can say is that they are horrible. There is no stability as the side walls are too soft - almost feel like driving on snow. Marginal improvement when pumped up to 40lbs tire pressure, but in no way any good, for my application anyway. If you drive a sporty driving car these are not the tires for you.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Please keep in mind that your vehicle requires a tire with a Y speed rating; while, the ProContact GX has an H speed rating. Based on this, we recommend using the 60-Day Customer Satisfaction Trial to exchange the tire for one the meets the recommendations set by the vehicle manufacturer.

Softer quieter ride in a run flat

I put these on my BMW535i xdrive. They were a replacement for a set of Goodyear Eagle LS2 Runonflat. The continental ProContact GX SSR offers a quieter softer ride at the sacrifice of some handling. They have much less precise feel on the turns than the LS2. Since much of my driving is highway, it works for me…but for the driving enthusiast be informed they are a little soft. Note it is also an H rating which falls below the speed capabilities of my car. However, don't have plans need to exceed 130 mph. In summary, they make a great choice if you're looking for a softer ride but want to keep run flat capabilities.

I'd rate them a zero if I could

Mercedes-Benz uses these tires as their stock tires.  They are terrible!  I won't buy another Mercedes because of these tires!  Mercedes decided not to include a spare and use these terrible tires!  Hit a pot hole and you will get a bump sticking out of the side of the tire and you have to replace them!  Get a nail in your tire and you have to replace them.  I had the car for 10,000 miles and they told me I needed new rear tires already!  You feel every bump in the road as well.  Get another type of tire!
