When and why did ICBINB change from soybean oil to canola oil? I have been buying the "Original" version of this brand for at least the last 5 years, and have loved it! -- great flavor, great price, good availability. As of today (November 16, 2020), the container is now larger (17 oz instead of 15); "soybean oil" has been replaced by "canola oil" as the second item in the ingredients list; and the container now advertises it as a "European blend" (no explanation as to what exactly that means -- the other change I could determine was now use "sunflower lecithin" as opposed to "soy lecithin"). All of this at a higher price. WHEN, WHY, and WHAT GIVES?! I am not answering questions regarding taste or quality until I have had the chance to use it for awhile.

I find this a tasty and affordable alternative to butter. I enjoy using it for baking or day to day purposes. It has all the yummy flavor of butter without the price tag that it sometimes tough between pay days. I'll definitely buy this again for all my cooking and baking uses. 

This is great. I think its more creamy and light feeling. Its not as heavy as margarine. This would be good to use while cooking in the morning making things like eggs, toast and other little quick fixings. I would recommend this product and its affordable

This is my favorite butter, its so smooth and slightly salty, I love it! It's a much healthier alternative to other butters on the market, without lacking that delicious butter flavor. I highly recommend trying this butter and it is very fairly priced.

I won't eat anything else ever again! Real butter is best but when you need margarine, look no further. This has the most delicious flavor compared to other margarine brands. And want the best cake icing? Use Wilton's buttercream icing recipe but use this instead of shortening, soooo much better!

I’m wondering what’s with all the negative reviews since the change in oils. I’ve had it in my house for the non- butter users for years and when the formula changed to exclude soybean oil an/or soy lecithin, I got no complaints from the users and am now able to use it myself. This is a smart product to use.

We were advised by our physician, due to our age, to omit few things from our diet, hence omitting medication. My spouse and I asked friends, neighbours, read articles, spoke with cooks and decided to give 'I can't believe it is not butter', of course we switched to avocado oil, very good olive oil, so on so far. however, for our sandwiches, frying an egg or omeltte or mashed potato, the butter flavour without the added fat.

60 calories with omega 3 and vegetable oil spread this butter I can’t believe it’s no butter it’s my favorite 0 carb. just Sodium 4% with vitamins is an awesome butter plus it’s gluten free. I enjoy in my daily regimen and works for me. Highly recommended it!!!

I saw the mixed reviews, but wanted to try it because tastebuds are very individual, and you never know what yours will like till you try it. I would say this is better than Benecol by far, but it definitely does not live up to its name. I really need to reduce saturated fats, so I need something other than butter and olive oil for those things (like toast) where you really need something reasonably butter-like. The Verdict: I can live with this. Does it taste like butter? Nope, not at all. Is it better than some of the other low-sat fat options? Yes, so far.

My mother is lactose intolerant so we’ve been eating this since I was a toddler. I honestly never knew that this wasn’t really butter. It tastes just like butter & I never feel like my food tastes any different or doesn’t come out right. Great alternative to butter.
