It's okay

The dryer sensor can be better. Sometimes clothes require a second cycle to completely dry. I could not remove the dryer door to preferred side due to one of the screws being in crooked. Had to submit a service ticket to Samsung to fix the issue. The dryer quality and materials are mediocre.

Easy to use and good quality.

1 year later review!!! Doesn’t dry well.

i was so happy to upgrade from our old maytag dryer. i seen this set and thought its quality would be comparable to other samsung products i have owned. i love the way it looks and its little chime when dry cycle ends. the problem is that my clothes are consistently damp. i almost always have to go over 1 hour extra dry setting and dry again to achieve regular dryness. it feels like it never gets really hot. i always clean lint out but it doesnt improve its functionality. my matching washer is giving me an error code already and this is almost literally to my date of purchase. so i’d say definitely get extra warranties as new products these days seem to be lower quality.

7.2 gas dryer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the 2nd gas dryer we have purchased. We left 1st one when we sold home. Bought this one in our new home. Features are good but doesn't dry as well as our other one. Tried to get service to check it out but could not figure out how to do it online. Keeps taking me to option warranty site. Takes longer time to get big load completely dry

Second Samsung dryer, ruined all my clothes

it worked great for about a year and started making a loud grinding noise. purchased another one and the same thing after a year of use. it also leaves dark marks and burnt marks on my clothes. clothes get caught within the tumbler/drum inside. two dryers in two years. never doing samsung again.

Nothing worthwhile

this dryer is terrible and does not dry my clothes. the technician stated i can't put too much or too little or the clothes won't dry. do i need to be a math mathematician to figure how much is too much or too little? also, it states i can connect to my phone for more options. it won't connect. although, the manual states to press the smart connect button, i don't see it on my model. the technician couldn't tell me how to use the manual settings. i'm ready to just donate the dry which is less than 90 days old because it's useless to me. i'm very disappointed. i was very loyal to samsung, including purchasing cell phones. i'm done with samsung.

I see where you are coming from. These are problems that would annoy anyone. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. To use the manual settings of the dryer. You just have to use the cyles like Time dry, Quick dry, and Wrinkle release. These cycles do not function off the dryer's sensor. On directions on how to use the Smart Care app, I'll provide the full directions here. If you want to read this yourself. You can find it in the manual on page 40. ^Pat Smart Care To enable this function, you must first download the SmartThings app at the Play Store or the App Store and install it on a mobile device featuring a camera function. The Smart Care function has been optimized for Galaxy & iPhone series (applicable models only). 1. When the dryer detects an issue to check, an information code appears on the display. To enter Smart Care mode, press and hold Temp. + Time for 3 seconds. 2. The dryer starts the self-diagnosis procedure and displays an information code if a problem is detected. 3. Run the SmartThings app on your mobile device, and then tap Smart Care. 4. Put the mobile device close to the dryer’s display so that the smartphone camera and the dryer face each other. The app automatically recognizes the information code. 5. When the information code is recognized correctly, the app provides detailed information about the problem with applicable solutions.

terrible, so disappointed

does not dry the clothes. need to run it for 2-3 cycles before everything is dry. sensor dry just stops when everything is still wet and timed dry takes multiple cycles.

Please ensure the dryer is not in ECO DRY mode, as this setting will reduce the power consumption of certain other cycles but will extend the length of the cycle, potentially up to 3 times as long.
