Sam's had carried the 2# roll of Jimmy Dean sausage. I purchased it regulaly for years. Then not too long ago I noticed that Smithfield was now what was being carried. So, I bought a roll. Well, wow was I surprised when I put it in the skillet. This is high quality meat. There was barely any grease/fat content. I didn't tell my family that this was a new brand for us. It was a hit. They noticed it wasn't as greasy and had a nice bite. We do like the spice flavor profile with Jimmy Dean better. However, I will get an extra roll at the club next trip because we want to crumble/scramble it to try in spaghetti and maybe hamburger helper instead of beef. With the rising cost of meats, this would be less expensive.

Smithfield 2 lbs. Sausage Roll Is a fantastic value for the price. The flavor is great, cooks up nicely with minimal amount of liquid fat to drain, which means you have more meat. When you buy it, cut it up into your servings you will use and freeze them individually. I usually buy more than one. Freeze one whole, cut one in half, and cut two into patties. Makes for a lot of different meals, including sausage burgers!

We live out some and don't like having to go into town for groceries as much as possible. So we like to buy in bulk on things we can freeze. Smithfield is always a good brand for sausage and this sausage is delicious. Makes great sausage gravy, sausage biscuits or just sausage on the side.

My family cannot get enough of this! So easy to make and has big flavor and is super easy to work with. We have breakfast for supper at least once a week and this is the perfect addition.

Sausage with gravy or sausage hash, or sausage patties, anyway works great with homemade buttermilk biscuits! Smithfield's fresh sausage roll has grey flavor with just the right amount of spice. I've found that it also produces less grease and has hardly any gristle, as compared to it's competition. I also use it with added spices for Italian and Mexican recipes.

I use this brand for biscuits and gravy it has the best quality and makes the best gravy . It's very easy to open the package and use the product just slice the side and refrigerate the uncooked portion. Great flavor plus a good portion of the product highly recommend it

This is a good size roll of bulk sausage, easy to split up into smaller portions. It's a bit on the spicy side, but not too badly. Great to use in addition to ground beef/turkey/chicken in meatloaf, taco's, and spaghetti sauce, as well as for breakfast.
