Very efficient and effective way to minimize yard leaves for disposal. Very happy so far.

I used my leaf shredder three times, filling 2 bags each time. On my fourth use, I filled one bag, used a blower to gather more leaves and the unit wouldn't work. Contacted the company who blew me off and terminated my case because it took me 4 days to respond to email. I emailed to ask for case to be reopened but never heard from them again.

I've owned the Sun Joe SDJ616 for around 4 years now. It does a good job of shredding the leaves. It does not clog given the design as gravity feeds it. Here's what I don't like.. I feed it with a snow shovel. It can't handle anything more that a few handful of leaves without someone standing over top pushing them down. In fact, forget about this being a one man operation unless you have some small in the city postage stamp yard. My son feeds me the leaves and I push them down. They should offer the hopper in a bigger size with a wider opening to allow a larger volume to flow through.

The plastic cutter string doesn't stand up well. I went through two sets on the first bag of hay. The hay had weed stalks in it, but with the second and succeeding bags of hay, the cutting cords lasted longer. Still not adequate. Wet hay or leaves were a bear to get through the machine. Dry leaves worked best. Eventually, the machine just quit. Less than a day's usage.

Had mine for at least 5 years still works perfect.

I'm so pleased with my Sun Joe shredder. I've used it on both leaves and pine needles. I was a bit concerned after reading some reviews about how much the shredded material would condense so I conducted my own before and after experiments. See my photos as proof. I will say I need to remember to give it a break periodically as I did manage to overheat the motor on my first try.

Does a great job at mulching and shredding leaves and small sticks, whether dry or wet. Settings are great if you want to do a fine mulch and use for fertilizer. I have an acre and it does the job. Would have given a higher score but the legs that are used for the stand will not hold its position at the height set, also wish it would just suck the leaves down into the mulched instead of have to push them with my hand.
