Last TV Purchase 2009
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am super impressed with the screen resolution. There was a learning curve with the channel changer ... it does a lot more than change the channels. Great selection of channels and apps. Interfaces well with my DVR and Internet connection. Not so good with the Windows 10 PC though.

Excellent
Every item purchased are excellent. Our last purchase was a set of 4 high end tires. The deal was not even close to be match by others, plus the team that installed the tires was great. The whole experience was excellent. Thanks to all of those that made the experience great.
Good overall, but one issue I can't overlook
when i first started using this tv, i loved it. the picture was clear and high-res (as it should be), but i eventually started to notice these shadows. they only really appeared when there was a wide area of flat color, or simply not a lot of visual activity on screen. they are not so intense that they are there all the time, but when they do appear i can't overlook them. worst part is, apparently this is normal. i'm currently trying to see if i can somehow replace this tv with a different one. from a different company.

Voice Control Does Not Work
The voice control does not work! There is not an update available and when I enter the model # on Samsung's.support website, no results turn up. It's as if they released this TV before it was actually finished, and then it was forgotten about. The UI is very buggy! It is very slow (much slower than older models; even the lower series models). It is a chore to have tro change any setting such as picture, timer, source, app, etc. without the voice control working. The voice control setup works and is agble to recognize my voice; however, when I try to use it beyond that point the only thing that happens is a message pops up that says a variety of "it's loading" messages that just disappear without any activity. I have re-registered my voice a dozen or so times, created a new Samsung account, and ultimately did a factory reset of the TV, but nothing helped!
Ryan, I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with your TU8000 Cyrstal UHD TV. Please try these steps for the voice control issue: Unplug and then plug the TV power cable and then try again after 1 minute and 30 seconds. It may take a while if the voice recognition server is being inspected. If there is no response even if the voice entry button is pressed, try repairing the remote with your TV. For better UI performance, please try Device Care option under the Support Menu. Go to Settings > Support> Device Care > Start Device Care. This service checks memory and frees up unused cached memory and closes background apps. I hope these tips help to solve your concerns. Onerous setup, decent picture, useless remote
although i have a samsung account and galaxy s20+, it took 2 hours to setup this television and i am not a tech novice. samsung would not recognize my password even though it was correct which prolonged the process. very frustrating. and note-you have to have a samsung account to download apps that aren't already installed. had to tinker with the color to optimize the picture as expected. universal remote is a joke-won't control my sonos beam from more than five feet way. the tv will serve its purpose. you get what you pay for.
The TV we now know that we needed
my household is pleased with this tv. we set it up easily with on-screen instructions and can adjust the picture and sound precisely as we like it. bluetooth lets me use earbuds at 3 a.m., and the voice-operated remote eliminates button hunting. it's close enough to universal, although we still need other remotes for future cable recordings and external speakers. we have access to more entertainment than we'll ever need. we have little use for the smart things iphone app or for the ambience on-screen wallpaper. but altogether, we're happy.
Best TV I've ever owned
I bought this TV 1 day ago, after using the smart things app to set it up, which was so easy and fast I then started exploring as many features as I could and still just scratched the surface on all the great features there are I also hooked up a soundbar and the picture quality along with the soundbar made it an unbelievable experience, and living in a smaller apartment it is truly amazing. Price, picture, functionality, and over all quality of a Samsung product has so far made this the best TV I've ever owned and would recommend it highly.
Big Bang for the Buck!
Sure, you can spend three times what this TV costs and get something better. But, for the price, this is a fantastic television! Bright, vibrant colors. Decent black levels. Have owned this baby for a week now and am more than pleased. I highly recommend it.
Incredibly clear!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] it took my husband and i a few days to get used to it! people in shows look like they're standing in your living room. the colors are amazing and the crystal uhd is an incredible upgrade for clarity. instructions were easy. however, they don't provide information on how best to use the apps to stream shows. we've had to figure that out ourselves as we go. otherwise, great product!
Good value
The TV is a good value, but I did wind up moving this one to a bedroom to put in a QLED. Same size same brand, just a slightly better picture. I would recommend this one for the value and overall picture quality. Both TVs have the same type remote, which is streamlined. The remote may be smaller but it requires many more steps to use and knowledge as to where to go next. Not a benefit.
