This is the first TV that I have purchased in over 5 years, the leap in technology is jaw dropping. I loved it so much, that I bought 2 more of the same 8 series 50" model. 1 more for the office and 1 more for my home. Looking forward to installing a soundbar in the future when I have some time.

I would recommend anyone to get this brand or specific tv I purchased! This is my 2nd tv so far. No regrets at all. They have awesome setting options as closed captioning preference. I'm Deaf and this is cloud 9 for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For a long time I had held off buying a new set, as my old one still works. Also, did not have the room for it. A new piece of furniture recently acquired was ideal for the purpose, so on a recommendation I decided on this new 2020 Samsung model. Sure am glad I did! This television has it all, including a wide range of SamsungTV channels. The picture quality is remarkable even on the local broadcast stations, but the 'dream' part is getting Youtube on it, a feature I had craved for years. A super TV!

Excellent picture quality, great set of features. The big con is related to DLNA support. I have firmware 1115.5 installed (current as of this post). I have a Twonky 8.5 DLNA server. This TV will play my .MKV files, but will not display the embedded VOBSUB subtitles. The TV recognizes the presence of the subtitle track within the file, but won't display it. The other thing is that it won't pass-through DTS to the attached HDMI eARC receiver. The DLNA player in the TV will simply reject the file stating that the audio codec is not supported rather than just playing the video and passing the DTS audio through to the HDMI receiver. BTW my older Samsung TV (UN65H6203AF) has no issues, all of my .MKV files play just fine including subtitles and DTS pass-through.

Come into the family room turn on my Samsung crystal UHD 85 screen television all my devices synchronize Add mediately with my cable remote. Then if I wanted to watch my apps and the movie videos from Samsung I push my Samsung remote to control and it easily direct me to all my ads and movie channels, What I want to change my picture control to either movie sports a regular options I can access that easily overall I enjoy my 85 inch Crystal UHD Samsung smart TV. It would be enhanced much better with a sound bar system.

I do not have cable or satellite tv so i just use the digital antenna for my programs. So the added channels that Samsung provides in the channel menu is such a bonus. A sound bar would be perfect for me because of my hearing, although my wife would probably hate me for it
