Good overall but DLNA needs improvement...

Excellent picture quality, great set of features. The big con is related to DLNA support. I have firmware 1115.5 installed (current as of this post). I have a Twonky 8.5 DLNA server. This TV will play my .MKV files, but will not display the embedded VOBSUB subtitles. The TV recognizes the presence of the subtitle track within the file, but won't display it. The other thing is that it won't pass-through DTS to the attached HDMI eARC receiver. The DLNA player in the TV will simply reject the file stating that the audio codec is not supported rather than just playing the video and passing the DTS audio through to the HDMI receiver. BTW my older Samsung TV (UN65H6203AF) has no issues, all of my .MKV files play just fine including subtitles and DTS pass-through.

The picture quality is insanely good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was our first ever 50 inch TV from Samsung and it is awesome we want to buy another one in the future when we save up some extra money for our family. This TV is awesome the biggest TV we have ever owned and whatever I could afford.

TV turns off and on randomly

tv was working great for two years.now it just randomly turns on and off and i've tried several times rebooting and reset the tv. i've unplugged all external devices from it and even brought a new power cord. i'm very disappointed in my purchase. tvs should last longer than a few years and i don't even utilize the tv everyday. this will be my last samsung tv purchase.

only lasted two years.

Save your money and buy something else. 2 years and went dead. Replaced power and main board with no results. I could get it to work by disconnecting right half of screen for 5 minutes. turn on and it would work fine. Next morning would not turn on. No answers from Samsung.

Takes a long time to turn on.

right after the warranty expired my tv decided to take minutes to turn on. i use a roku. i tried turning it on with out the roku, without internet, just using the samsung remote and manually and it still took 5 or more minutes to come on. i'm wondering if i should leave it on 24 hours a day. other than this problem, i love the tv. the color is great. i love samsung products. my older samsung tv (10 years old) was moved to the bedroom and it still has great color.

Me too

Just came to add my experience to the list of complaints with this model. I won't bother with all the details but, as others have noted, this TV died roughly 2.5 years after purchase. Nothing I've tried can bring it back to life. Looks like I'm buying a new TV.

Very pleased and satisfied

2 years have passed and the TV began to live its o

2 years have passed and the TV began to live its own life . He began to turn on and off himself, constantly rebooting. I tried twice at the time of the next reboot cycle of the TV to go to the menu and roll back the firmware to factory settings. The TV worked first for one week and then for 2 months. And again, during the viewing, he turned himself off and began to turn on and off constantly. I don't have time to go into the TV settings to restart it again because it turns off by itself. Now I'm going to buy a new TV, but not a Samsung. I see that many people have this problem, I think Samsung should recall these models and fix this problem for free. But it's probably just a dream.

Great TV.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm pleased with the TV, the software is fast, and it pairs well with the Samsung sound bar. One remote controls the TV, sound bar, and Android TV box. The bezel is slim and it looks great mounted on the wall.

What a great choice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn't plan on getting this television but I'm sure glad I did. I went looking for a Fire TV and I was going to ask the clerk to grab it as I already thought I knew what I wanted. I was sooooooo mistaken. Samsung TV's already have all the best options on it and more. I was pleasantly surprised with the features that comes with it and I've been bragging about it to my friends. I'm sticking with Samsung when I change my bedroom TV for Christmas.
