Best watch I've ever had

Bought this to replace a Vivoactive 3, a watch that I loved. This Venu 3 is even better. GPS is faster and more accurate. It has many more capabilities for monitoring health. I found a watch face that works well for me. Perhaps the most helpful thing is the three buttons for navigation in addition to swiping. (The Vivoactive3 only had one, so it was always a combination of push or hold and up/down/left/right swipes.) The only minor complaint is have is that the buttons don't stick out much (which is good and bad, so a compromise), but they seem a little 'soft' when pushing them. Still, this is the best watch I've ever had, and I recommend it.

Great for cyclists who already own a head unit

Coming from a Fenix 5S and a D2 Air X10. I also use an Edge 830 on my bike. This watch gives me almost all the info I want or need as far as my fitness. Combined with my 830, Garmin Connect gives me a pretty good picture of my health. The watch itself is similar to the D2 Air X10, but doesn't seem as polished. Considering it's $100USD less than the D2, I can see where they had to cut some corners on the finish. Having worn my Fenix 5S for many years (since 2019), I was ready for a more stylish watch. This definitely fits my criteria. The additional feedback on my rest and stress graphs give me a good idea of my diet. The sleep coach can be patronizing and/or unrealistic sometimes, but it can help. It helps me keep track of what my body is doing off the bike.

Best battery on any fitness watch. Started with an apple watch but hated that I had to charge it constantly. First charge was after 8 days (25% left) and I probably could have worn it another day or two without needing the charge. Love the features in the app to build my own workouts then have it record my movement accurately.

Great Fitness Smart Watch

This Venu 3 watch replaced a Fitbit watch with a lot less features. I needed to replace my Fitbit and hearing from a lot of friends NOT recommending an Apple watch as they have to charge daily. That was a non-starter for me because the sleep quality feature is one my favorite apps. Expertvoice had a great deal on a Venu 3 so I gave it a try. Very good feature laden watch. Battery looks like it will last over 5 days, probably longer as I just got the watch. It has a lot of apps and features so give yourself time to learn them all if you're new to Garmin watches. I have Garmin bike computers but the Garmin watch ecosystem is a whole new level. It has a great screen and can easily replace my bike computers. I am very happy with my purchase. Especially the prices in Expertvoice.

Works as Described

This watch is as advertised. Data seems accurate and reliable and battery life last about 2 weeks. It's light weight and still stylish, which is the style I was interested in. It's very similar in size and style as the Samsung Galaxy but with better battery life and more data.

I love it

I love the venu3. It's a great little smartwatch/fitness tracker. It gives me motivation throughout the day if I've been sitting down for too long. It's got an onscreen keyboard like old cellphone keyboards. My only complaint is that the speaker while taking calls is very low and almost impossible to hear unless you're in a dead quiet place.

Venu

I purchased the Venu3 as a replace for my Apple Watch that would no longer hold a charge. It has all the smart watch functions that I utilized with the Apple Watch. It has been easy to learn to use & I do like that I only charge it about every 6 days.

GREAT, but…. missing LED flashlight!

I DO enjoy my Venu 3 with all the sensors. I have had AFIB events, so I monitor myself by using the Garmin watch. I came from using Fitbits and Apple Watches, but they became un-reliable and their batteries had to be charged DAILY (…or just failed!!). It has been GREAT, NOT having to worry about the battery in the Garmin Watch!! While I’m “reviewing”, I had an Epic Pro for a period of time and found it to a TERRIFIC watch with all the features that I needed or wanted, but (At my age and position…. retired) I found it too large and too powerful for my needs. BUT…. there was one feature that the Epic had that I would like on ALL my future watches!!…. the LED flashlight !! Our Son has an Epic, also, and uses the flashlight constantly!! Who would have thunk…. a flashlight in a watch…. WOW!!…. what a TERRIFIC IDEA !! The one in the Venu 3 doesn’t have the power that the Epic has…. I miss that flashlight in the Epic!!! PLEASE sell me a Venu with an LED flashlight in it!!! R. G. Bowers

VENU 3 Great Upgrade from the original VENU

I enjoyed my original VENU for the past three years and only upgraded due to the additional features available on the VENU 3. Specifically, the larger face, larger font, ability to send and receive calls and texts, and improved health stats and metrics. I am highly pleased with the VENU 3. In addition to these features, I am finding that the health stats and metrics are accurate, the sleep coach and Garmin Coach is helpful, and was surprised to find that the activities apps graphics are also improved. Finally, the VENU 3 easily integrated with Amazon Music, easily integrated with the Garmin store so I could obtain more watch faces, and has been holding a charge for nine to ten days with average use. Overall, a great investment which enhances daily life from the smartwatch perspective and helps improve health by accurate health metrics.

Good and Bad

I have had six prior Garmin watches, the last being a Vivoactive 4. The Venu 3 display is very bright in most cases and the ECG function is a good addition. The battery life is much better than the Vivoactive. The golf tracking is not good, yardage does not update. The lap swimming function has several problems vs the Vivoactive. Selecting the activity does not stay on unless you immediately start it. When a lap is paused a message comes up telling you how to use the button, instead of providing stats. The display is also harder to read in the water, but this may be due to goggles.
