Love the watch faces!!!
My first fitness watch so I had no expectations. Was actually looking to replace my 20+ year Ironman Timex watch and couldn't find any that people really liked so I bit the bullet and upsized to Garmin. So far had no issues with the 45mm watch. Great health features with long battery life! Now if they could somehow integrate a CGM monitor it would be almost a must wear for everyone that cares about their health. Watch faces are bright/colorful with a clean interface. Lots to choose from! Change to a different one every few days! The Garmin SSO Portal site is well laid out and easy to navigate. No issue with the software of updates! It's a Garmin for heavens' sake. :) Love the exercise activities!!! My only concern is battery life. How many charges before you see a drop off in watch functionality? Like phones, there's a mean average of hours before failure. If I can get 5+ years then it's worth the investment.
Everything I was looking for!
I have been an Apple Watch user for years. I even dabbled in Fitbit from time to time when I wanted to really focus on my health. I always dumped the Fitbit and went back to Apple Watch because I just got bored. However, I purchased my husband and myself each a Garmin Venu 3 a little over a month ago and I am still as ecstatic about it as I was the first day! I don’t see my love of Garmin going anywhere!! Set up of the Venu 3 was so easy, paired flawlessly with our iPhones, and they charged fast! We made it through a week of challenging each other to steps challenges, tracking sleep cycles, getting copious amounts of notifications from our phones, treadmill workouts, and just frivolous scrolling all the features on our Venu’s before ever having to charge. We even decided so we wouldn’t “cheat” each other out of steps we’d charge them together so we plugged them up while we decided to watch some TV together. Again, another very quick charge, because by time our show was over we put them back on! I love the ability to download connect IQ and change my watch face. I found the perfect one that has every feature right on my watch face that I want to see (and it’s customizable if I change my mind) plus I can change the colors to match my mood or the holiday that’s near! The real part of the pros of the Venu 3 for me, thought, are the fact that I’m moving more than I ever have. Hitting that step goal every day is so satisfying that I keep going back for more! Also- tracking my water intake. As someone who’s never drank much in her life ever, I’m now drinking what a normal human should lol! I have something to look forward to (meeting that goal!) and it’s not only affected my mood, but also my physical health! My blood pressure is lowering naturally and my glucose isn’t all over the board anymore. I’m feeling so much better in the last few weeks and I absolutely attribute that to my Garmin! So if you’re on the fence… Get it! You won’t regret it. I simply cannot wait for spring and summer.. I’m excited to utilize my watch on some hikes and see what kind of stats I come up with then! And you never know, my first 5K may end up being soon too! From someone who sit on the couch most of the day… if you want some motivation, get the Garmin!
Solid as a Timepeice, Needs TLC for the rest
I primarily bought this for the Garmin reliability and the ECG option. As a timepeice and activity tracker, it is solid. The ECG is picky with wrist/forearm placement/pressure. I have about an 80% success rate. The watch vibration has been "audible" since day one and people in meetings will ask me "Is that your watch??!!" I've contacted support a few times and they have been less than helpful and do not followup. I've also noticed that features disappear and even full resets can't bring them back. The ability to take calls on my watch disappeared, music doesn't play anymore, but the Starbucks app works and Scouts can find my watch if it give them the GPS coordinates.
Amazing Watch
I got the Venue 3 as a birthday gift about a month ago and it is amazing. I check the watch and the connect app daily and is such an amazing tool to track my health and fitness. I didn’t know that my sleep was as bad as it is and the sleep coach has been such a huge help!!
Love this watch
I received this watch for Christmas and have loved it since day 1. I previously had a Garmin Instinct 2 for years, so getting used to the buttons and touch screen is still a work in progress. But the look, functionality, and battery life are great with this watch. The watch has a plethora of workouts, and the watch face is customizable. This watch rivals the Samsung and Apple watches, and I think the battery life puts it above the others and the cost isn't outrageous. I love Garmin watches!
Fits the bill for my needs
I needed something that would track criteria in the gym the same way my Apple Watch did but with a much better battery. This watch is more user friendly than the Fenix 5 I had because of the touchscreen features. If I could have afforded the Fenix 8 I would have went that route. The only thing missing is the ability to respond to texts on Apple which I was under the impression it would. The heart sensor was better on my Fenix 5 because I didn’t need a bottlecap sticker to read through my tattoos. The Venu 3 will read but the watch has to be tight and not move which doesn’t work for me.
Amazing device!
I bought the Venu 3 because of the features not available on my Garmin Vivomove Luxe, including afib detention and hrv status, as well as being able to answer calls. Exceeded my expectations. Easy to use and a beautiful display, plus with Garmin Connect IQ you can create your own watch faces.
Pretty but Not Compatible with Features
I bought this garmin a few weeks ago once my apple watch stopped working. After a month of researching both Venu3 and Forerunner965, I made my decision after watching many runners on social media claim to love this watch and explaining how much better it is than an apple watch. While this might be true, I wasn't aware that this watch would fall short on some key Garmin features that are key for runners. After spending an hour mapping out my courses for the week and deciding on a Pace Pro strategy, it turns out it's not compatible with my Gamin device. So while this is better than an Apple watch, I should have gone with the Forerunner.
Thank you for your review and experience with the Venu 3. We would like to discuss this further over email. If you would please email us at product.support@garmin.com. Venu 3 Support: https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?productID=873008&tab=topics

Great features. A couple issues.
I bought the Venu 3 on sale to replace my 5 year old Garmin. While it's neat that it can do a few more things, the activities remain the same as before. My main problem is how scratched the screen is already. I've bought a screen protector for it, but I never had to with my last one. I'm almost embarrassed that it looks so old so soon.
