Many fitness options, Great Battery Life!

I bought this to work with my Android phone and I bought an Apple Watch for my wife to work with her I-phone. She has to recharge her phone daily, and I only need to charge after a week or two even though I tend to do it once per day. It's nice to know I don't have to recharge it daily. My wife and I are still comparing our applications and their performance. I like to use a stationary cycle, but the app doesn't allow me to input the calories burned based on the computer output from my cycle. Maybe I need to learn more about the applications and I will find a way to record stationary cycle activities better. We both like our sleep apps, but the Garmin provides more information than the Apple watch. OK, my Garmin will not receive calls without my phone Bluetoothed to it and her Apple watch doesn't require her phone to be nearby, but I don't pay an additional monthly fee to my service provider for the Garmin. I wanted her to have phone access because she does HIIT in our neighborhood and doesn't need to be carrying her phone at these times. Men have pockets, so carrying my phone is not an issue. I like the many choices of watch faces! I like the fact you can create your own even though I use one that's provided on the Garmin IQ. I could go on but this is all the time I have for the review today.

Replaced my Apple Watch 9

Had for a month and love all the features and BATTERY LIFE. I don’t text through my watch and I rarely take calls on the watch so if that’s important to you iPhone users this may not be for you. But not having to charge everyday and all the additional features is worth the cost of the better implementation of texting/calling. Takes a little more effort to setup than the Apple Watch too but it is worth all the effort.

It ok, but...

I'm disappointed that the Venue 3 voice assistant won't bluetooth to so many android phones including my Galaxy S23 Ultra. I have in excess of 8 hours researching, talking with Garmin and txt chatting with Samsung regarding this issue. Garmin is and has been aware of it, but the customer doesn't become aware of it untill he/she is in the process of setting it up in the Garmin Connect app. Garmin should be up front transparent about this.

Big Improvement

A big improvement from my previous Vivoactiive 4! Easy to view, I like the "Glance" features, Morning Summary, and ECG has just been downloaded. Intensity Minutes starts tracking by the minute not needing 10 minutes like the V-4. I had to adjust the heart rate zones so they wouldn't record so easily. When going for a walk, GPS goes on automatically, not having to select like on V-4. Like all the other health tracking!

Needs work

There are some nice features to this watch, but when it comes to sleep and recovery, it is a dismal failure. It is rigid and unadaptable. The parameters are set and not adjustable. I use my Fitbit to monitor my sleep and recovery because the Venu 3 fails miserably.

Nice features, good statistics.

I owned a Fitbit before and are very happy a switched for a Garmin. It takes a little, after 3 years Fitbit, to find my way around in the menus, but it’s ok now. Statistics for heartbeats, HRV, stress and body battery are great and better then Fitbit in my opinion. Also some activities are there now that I missed in the past. I did not check the golf app but looks promising. I still are discovering new nice features. I would by a Garmin again. Best: no monthly charge for all features.

Great Features!! Super fitness Watch

I really love this Garmin Venu 3. Screen size is just right and very responsive to touch and the screen brightness is super. I've turned down the brightness to 30% and it is still very bright. I'm enjoying the battery life. 10 + days on a single charge given its screen brightness and feature set is impressive especially coming from two major phone giants where you may get a day or maybe slightly more. The build is great and solid. I have placed a screen protector on and will add a soft bumper on occasion that warrants it. It is also very stylish. Functionality has been top notch. It's very accurate and allows for monitoring of my heart as I have a-Fib. It can do EKG, oxygen readings, sleep monitoring, Heart rate variability, has a body battery and stress levels. Overall I made the move because I feel it really is focused on fitness. And of all other smartwatches, for me, I have enjoyed the accompanied phone app that gives me a readout which is concise and informative. Much more so than others I've used before. This is an impressive smart watch. I thought it a bit expensive but after using it has been well worth it. I highly recommend it.

So far so good

So far, I like everything about my new Venue 3, particularly as compared to my now battery dead Vivoactive 4. The battery lasts longer, the display is large and of better resolution, and I appreciate the additional capabilities the Venu 3 adds, such as the ECG App.

I like everything but the golf distance inaccuracy

My Garmin Vivoqctive HR finally died and Garmin was nice to provide a discount on my next watch but only certain models. I did the research and found the venu 3 to be the best choice for the price. I did see that only the high end Garmin Golf watches used all satellites available where the Venu3 doesn't which was disappointing. Once on the golf course I found it to be a 10-12 yard difference between the Venu3 yardage and the laser range finder and I compared it to other devices some of my playing parters had so it confirmed to be inaccurate. I now regret my purchase since while I wouldn't have purchased the top end Garmin golf watch which is out of my price range but I prob would have chosen a competitor device since accuracy in golf should be garmins top priority.

Right size and features

I really like my Fenix 7 solar, but never used anywhere near it's capabilities. So I went for the Venu 3 to get most of the features at a smaller size. It works very well and meets my needs. One thing for all Garmins, I sure would like having wireless charging again.
