I love this Watch
After 9 years of having Fitbit I switched over to Garmin and very happy I did it. The interface is so much better (I can actually read all my notifications), so many watch face options. I have my workout watch face, casual/chill face, and “fancy” face for dates and nice events. I kind of wish I could put those on a schedule (hint hint garmin). It has more algorithms (data insights). I love the microphone/speaker feature and also in LOVE with the battery life. It was definitely more expensive than my Fitbit charges which did make me nervous but I’m very happy with the purchase. The next test is longevity and checking out more apps with it. Hopefully I’ll get 3 or more years out of it!
So far, so good…
I’ve owned this product for 3 weeks now. All good, no complaints. I previously had an Amazfit smartwatch and this is an upgrade in every category. I’m still learning the interface and navigation but it has many options and features to keep me motivated to learn more. My only small complaint is having to use two different apps to manage the smartwatch. I haven’t been able to use the GPS and fitness tracking for much other than walking due to my current situation. Overall, a good upgrade and beneficial investment thus far.
Like it better than my Venu 2
I've had the Venu 3 for a few weeks. My Venu 2 of about four years experienced the blue triangle and could not be revived. Garmin offered to replace it with another Venu 2 but I decided to upgrade to to Venu 3. Garmin offered a generous discount and I upgraded. I am very glad I did. It has much more to offer to the Venu 2 and I use it for walking, running on the treadmill, rowing and cycling. Great watch.
I like everything but the golf distance inaccuracy
My Garmin Vivoqctive HR finally died and Garmin was nice to provide a discount on my next watch but only certain models. I did the research and found the venu 3 to be the best choice for the price. I did see that only the high end Garmin Golf watches used all satellites available where the Venu3 doesn't which was disappointing. Once on the golf course I found it to be a 10-12 yard difference between the Venu3 yardage and the laser range finder and I compared it to other devices some of my playing parters had so it confirmed to be inaccurate. I now regret my purchase since while I wouldn't have purchased the top end Garmin golf watch which is out of my price range but I prob would have chosen a competitor device since accuracy in golf should be garmins top priority.
Thank you for your review and experience with the Venu 3. We would like to discuss this further over email. If you would please email us at product.support@garmin.com. Great Fitness Smart Watch
This Venu 3 watch replaced a Fitbit watch with a lot less features. I needed to replace my Fitbit and hearing from a lot of friends NOT recommending an Apple watch as they have to charge daily. That was a non-starter for me because the sleep quality feature is one my favorite apps. Expertvoice had a great deal on a Venu 3 so I gave it a try. Very good feature laden watch. Battery looks like it will last over 5 days, probably longer as I just got the watch. It has a lot of apps and features so give yourself time to learn them all if you're new to Garmin watches. I have Garmin bike computers but the Garmin watch ecosystem is a whole new level. It has a great screen and can easily replace my bike computers. I am very happy with my purchase. Especially the prices in Expertvoice.
I miss my Fitbit Sense!
I gave my husband an EPIX for our anniversary and he loves it. He wanted me to get a Garmin too, so I did the research and waited for the Venu3 to come out. I have read the instruction manual and this watch is a dud, at least with an iPhone. I am not getting notifications on my wrist to let me know I have a text or phone call, but I click to open the notifications app and there are 25 that include business and junk emails, and calendar items not calls or texts, which is all I want. The only notification (vibration) I do get is that I am disconnected from my phone if I walk into another room, only steps away from my phone. When golfing, the golf app shows the entire route on the road and how many mile to get to the golf course, then it shows my speed at 3-6 mph. Yeah. I’m in a golf cart! It does not sense when I have hit a shot or how far it went. This watch was a gift and I don’t want to complain, but don’t waste your money. You can download a golf app onto the Fitbit sense and get front, middle back distance and not miss out on texts or calls. I am going to try to return.

Excellent Watch (So far)
The Venue 3 was a Christmas gift. The watch has performed well (so far). The face is easy to read, including during workouts. Navigation through the various functions is quick and easy (once I got used to it). One piece of information that is not available through the Venue 3 (which I had on my Forerunner) is Training Effect (I suspect this was a Garmin business decision). Otherwise, very happy with the Venue 3.
What an awesome smart watch !
I have had two Fitbit smart watches and the sensors on the bottom fell off and they just did not have the features that the Garmin has. What an incredible smart watch and my spouse has an Apple smart watch and there is absolutely no comparison between the other two brands. This smart watch is awesome!
Very good.
Pros: --Excellent Battery Life. --Fitness Apps and Amt of Data are accurate and amazing!! Way better than Samsung Watch 6 Classic. --Great integration with Speed Sensor 2 and Cadence 2. Accurate. --Heartbeat is accurate. --Body Battery is great. Coach is good. --Sleep app is acurrate, but I'm always getting Poor Sleep (that's on me, not Garmin). --HRV and Recovery is great. --Way more accurate that Galaxy Watch 6. --OK integration with smartphone. --IConnect is faster and more stable than better than Samsung/Wear OS. ---Has OK smartphone abilities. --Does Emails (via MS Office, and texts notifications). CONS: --Venu phone OS is not as polished as Samsung. It's built for button pushing, not for swiping. The OS really needs to be updated to modern times. --No Whatsapp integration. --Phone Volume is low. --Watch faces are OK, but could be better. Overall: --If you want a polished smartwatch, go for Samsung. But dont expect accuracy in their fitness areas. --If you want a semi hardcore fitness watch that does more than average, (not triathlonr/Pro Level, but more than average), and you are willing to trade some of the polish for fitness functionality, have basic smartphone connections, with MP3 player, and Amazing battery life (14 days max no bluetooth or constant on screen, but abt a week with constant bluetooth connections)--this is the watch to get.
Can't see my runs in training status
When I do excersis like running I can see my run in first page of garmin app in mobile but when I go to training status I can't see my run there. Before when I use garmin 945 run watch my first watch it was OK. But when I bought the new venu 3 and add it and remove the old watch from the app I faced this problem.
