I last moment decided to smoke our 21 lb (a challenge in its self) Thanksgiving turkey vs oven. First question from my bbq know it all son “how did I get it that golden brown in a smoker. 1st five thumbs up! The rest of the Family stood around waiting for him to make the first slice. Without bragging too much, I will simply say I heard a unanimous “wow”! 2nd five thumbs up! As he sliced our turkey, hands reached over and around him for a taste. Third five thumbs up! The turkey was moist, evenly and thourghly cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. 4th five thumbs up! The next question from my guys was “Mom. What kind of smoker did you use! Yep! You guessed it. 5th 5 thumbs up!

I've had this smoker for a couple of months now and have been pleasantly surprised by how well it's been performing. After reading multiple negative reviews, I was worried that I was wasting my money, but so far so good. Also, I do live in the northeast where it's generally bitter cold and/or snowy most days through fall and winter, but the device has still performed well even in the cold conditions. I did also purchase the insulated cover after the fact and it really helps keep the cabinet temperature from fluctuating too much as well. I've done pork butts, pork and beef ribs, chicken wings, turkey breasts, and even briskets with this model and I've been blown away with the results every time. I highly recommend this unit.

I love the blue tooth features, They allow me to remotely monitor and control the temps and when that prime rib reaches the desired temp I can shut it down and go get that perfectly smoked piece of meat. Because it was smoked at a lower temp no great loss of juices and no lengthy rest time, it sliced and eat.

Assembly takes far longer than the suggested 25 minutes, but I took the time to verify, separate, and organize all components and hardware. No issues with assembly, but it's much easier with a second person due to its bulky nature. It's very easy to move from garage to outdoors; even steps are negotiable. Far as operation, does exactly as advertised. Holds heat nicely when you need to get inside for transitions, and it used fewer chips than I expected. Resulting ribs were great! I took the time to properly season machine in advance. My proven 3-2-1 method for ribs is based on hours, not temp; so I'll probably only use the meatprobe when trying something unfamiliar. Machine cleans up easily, but after only 1 use, the window becomes gritty and pointless. Overall, I'm happy thus far. Will the unit endure? That remains to be seen. If the electric heating element lasts 4 good years, I'll return and give it a 5th star.

easy assembly , sturdy accurate smoker. I replaced a smaller masterbuilt smoker . I appreciate the easy digital temp setup, convenient smoke box and wide racks that can fit a whole rack of st louis ribs. I wish the bluetooth had better range. it only works to about 20 feet away, 10 if there is a wall.

I have just bought this Masterbuilt MES 340G Bluetooth smoker. I have had two other Masterbuilt smokers one 30 in and another 40 in and they both work very well. I did not buy this Masterbuilt Bluetooth smoker for the Bluetooth function and glad that I didn't because it does not work very well. If you get your cell phone more than 30 feet away from the smoker it loses connection. Or if you're in the house you have to be closer than that to be connected with the Bluetooth function. However if you keep your mobile device close enough it does work fine. The second thing that disappoints me in the way the smoker Cooks is that it doesn't leave an adequate smoke ring. I recently cooked a 15 lb brisket for 10 hours and when we cut into it there was no smoke ring. I have cooked numerous briskets on other smokers and had no problem with obtaining a smoke ring but with this smoker it was non-existent. The flavor was good but no smoke ring. It is for these two reasons that I rated it with a 3 hope this helps anyone else.

I bought this to replace my gas smoker and couldn't be happier. Easy to assemble and very well made. Cooking is so much easier because you can set the temperature and forget it. The phone app and bluetooth work great and the temperature is very accurate.

Good sturdy construction. Easy to clean racks and supports by just putting them in the dishwasher. Wipe down interior while still hot helps with basic cleanup. Cavity temperature stable to within +/-7 degrees. Probe temperature not accurate and measures +20 degrees, as compared to an accurate instant probe. Bluetooth feature is great for keeping eyes on the temp, while doing other things. Bluetooth app is a little buggy. Overall impression: It's an effective smoker that looks good and has the capacity for party smoking requirements.

I cook for a large group so I was wondering if the smoker would do well with 8 racks of ribs..my outside temperature was 65 degrees and I didn't preheat smoker but after 2 hours and 45 minutes the smoker that I set at max temperature (275) had only reached 255 degrees. Next time I'm going to preheat my smoker. I did have my ribs at room temperature like recommended. The ribs turned out good! But it took longer than expected.

I bought the smoker a few weeks ago. So far it has worked just fine. Easy to use. The food turned out great. I wish the Bluetooth stayed connected at a further distance but that's not a big deal. I paid for 2 day shipping and the smoker showed up in 4 days. That would be my biggest complaint.
